Can I program it to raise the volume on my Sonos Soundbar?

If the sound bar has an IR remote, you certainly can. While in "learn mode" you press the button on the side click that you want to use, then press the button on the device remote while pointing it at the side click. The side click has now learned from the original device remote. It can learn a different button from different remotes.
