I purchased this for the drive inside. These used to have WD Red drives, so I was disappointed to find a WD Blue drive in it. However, after using it 24/7 in a TiVo for nearly a month, it still works flawlessly.

What hard disk is built into 8tb model of these? WD RED, too?

Bought both 8 & 4tb models. Red in 8tb
Blue in 4tb.
