Best Consumer DSLR Ever Built
on July 4, 2015

I've had my share of cameras over the years. Most have been the Canon EOS Rebel series. The T6s is simply the best one ever made. Picture quality - sharpness, color, contrast, everything - is on par or better than some professional models I have used. In fact, this one shares some features that some of its professional siblings have. I bought it with the 18-135mm lens and unless I need some serious zoom, I will rarely take it off. I did try my eight-year old 75-300 IS EF Canon lens on it and it works flawlessly. Strongly recommended for consumers who want outstanding quality or even professionals on a budget.

Great keyboard and cover combo

This is another example of Zagg's great innovations. The keyboard and cover combo is perfect - not too thick when closed and the tablet rests snuggly in the slot when in keyboard mode. Keyboard is decent for typing. Only one gripe that prevents a five-star review - the keys for mail open the gmail app, not the email app I use with other services. Internet key opens internet browser - not Chrome. And you cannot remap the keys. No key to open task manager either. So a little disappointed here. Otherwise it's worth the price - recommend it over the Logitech case any day.

What's great about it: Keyboard works well, good protection
What's not so great: Can't remap function keys

Logitech PRO Keyboard Folio Case for Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 Tablets: This protective case allows you to stand your tablet up and type on a full-size keyboard as if you're using a laptop. Lay it flat over the keyboard for essential wear-and-tear protection while browsing and viewing in tablet mode.

Tablet keeps falling out
on April 22, 2014

This was a good concept that was poorly executed. Considering it was a Logitech product I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately it was a very costly product that really was not functional. The keyboard worked well, but that was it. When the case was closed, it was thicker than an ultrabook - not what I would expect for a tablet. Even laying it in tablet position it was too thick. You can argue that a keyboard case adds bulk, but not like this.
But the worst was the tablet kept falling out of the case, even after repeated attempts to secure the thing as best I can. This was a deal breaker for me. Ended up returning it.

incredible tablet/laptop hybrid

I'll start by saying that the Surface Pro cannot really be compared with anything out there on the market. Yes, it is a tablet, but it's also a full-fledged Windows laptop. To compare it to an iPad or Android tablet would be completely wrong.
That said, the best thing about the Surface Pro is that it tries very hard to be the best of everything - both as a tablet and as a laptop. On most levels it succeeds. As a laptop, I can do anything on this device as I can on any other Windows-based PC, with the added benefit of touch and pen. It is powerful enough to work on large Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, even photo editing. Video works great. I have used it as my travel laptop for several weeks and never missed out on anything. The Surface Pro is a good quality, solid piece of hardware, something you would not expect out of Microsoft - who really surprised me with this computer.
As a tablet, it works terrific in the Metro interface. Frankly I detested Windows 8 at first, but after attending a free workshop at a Microsoft retail store I was surprised at how easy it is to get around. If you miss the old Start button, there are plenty of free third party tools that will return the button. Tablet apps from the Windows store are fast and many are very good - however my biggest gripe is there are very few decent apps out there. Many of the apps are lousy and some laughable. But I think that will change over time. Apple need not worry about competition from MS or Google in this regard, but as a tablet, the Surface Pro works quite well.
As far as the complaints about battery life, I get nearly 5 hours out of a charge. That's about what I would expect from an i5-based laptop. So I don't see that as a show-stopper.
Other than that, screen quality is great, sound is decent, and it's quite fast. No problems with storage (I bought a 64GB microSD card and have hardly used it) so I still have plenty of room on the 128GB SSD.
Don't let the critics and the naysayers sway you. Take it from a power user - the Surface Pro is a winner.
What's great about it: Full Windows, fast processor, tablet is great
What's not so great: Lack of decent Windows Store apps
I would recommend this to a friend!
