can one use this with the wii motion plus remotes?
Yes, the Motion Plus charges just fine. I wasn't sure about using another brand with the Nintendo, but my grandkids have been using the Rocketfish charger for over a month now with no problems. Their remotes have the Motion Plus located inside the remote.
