Home networking
Do I need to turn on all devices in the network in order to share folders and printer (wireless)?
Can I share MS Office 2010 in my home network?
How can I add a home monitoring system to home network?
Thanks!
the short ans to your first ques is yes, you do have to turn On everything but this depends and what you mean by all your devices you don't necessarily have to turn on your computer if you sharing from your phone to your printer it all depends on how you set up everything in the beginning this can get very complicated and complex I've been around and around on these things with my own system the best thing to do is to go to your directions and read the book from front to back and learn how it works because you're saying to share folders and printer do you mean share what's in your folders to your printer so you can print it? And it depends on what you mean by turn everything on if your printer is set up on your home network in other words your router or extender to the router once you set it up all the needs to be on is the printer because your Wi-Fi should be on all the time anyway and if you turning that off that's not the way to go. Two question is a little confusing there. Thank you have a second question how can I share Microsoft office 2010 in my home network need a little more information on that one because it should be pretty easy but it depends if you're trying to actually let another computer use Microsoft office and it depends on what you paid for their very strict on that. You question number three how can I add a home monitoring system to my home network you need to follow the directions of the monitoring system there is no one guideline for all I have a monitoring system with eight cameras on my home network and it was a simple as plugging in the home monitoring system via a cable called a LAN and following the directions that came with my security system I don't know what security system you have Swann,Samsung, there's a lot of different ones they all come with phone numbers to the technical service departments and they will be glad to help you but you have to spend some time on the phone with them or maybe if you bought it at Best Buy you could call them but the initial set up is tedious and learning how to use it takes a little bit and you have to have some patients with me I had to have a lot of patients it took me a good month to get it right. I hope this helps.
