I know it's twice as much but it's well worth it. I took about 150 shots with it this weekend and was blown away. Bokeh is beautiful and it is sharp from 55-300mm. I had the 55-200mm VR and this is a significant step up. It's more solidly built and the results are excellent. It's a huge lens, and heavy, but the shots speak for themselves. Great, great lens!
Head out on your next shooting session with this Nikon D5500 DX-format DSLR camera, which features a high-resolution 24.2MP CMOS sensor and includes an AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G zoom lens for an efficient, versatile setup.Memory card sold separately.

I was an avid outdoor nature and railroad photog back in film days with a couple Minolta bodies and several lenses. It took me a while to switch to digital and I started with a simple Canon point and shoot 12 years ago. Then 5 years ago I stepped up to an Olympus superzoom that I liked but it wasn't flexible enough. This summer I finally took the plunge and bought the Nikon D5500 with both the 18-55 and 55-300 lenses. I've been impressed. It is easy to learn but has enough features that I'm always learning something new about how to use it. It is quite easy to just pick up and start shooting on auto. I also really appreciate the non-flash auto button. Most of my auto photos have come out quite good. I love the articulated touchscreen. Very handy. You'll use it more than you think you will. The camera size is another plus. It is lightweight but solid, and large enough to comfortably hold, but not too big that it weighs you down. Buttons and menus are reasonably intuitive, once you play with it a little, and this is my first Nikon digital experience. I do wish some of the buttons on the rear were slightly larger but that's the price you pay. Battery life has been quite good with 300-400 shots average. It all depends of course on how much you use the screen. The only negative is that it takes a little while to focus if you are using the live view. Not good for fast action. Viewfinder auto focus has been fine. All in all, I'm happy with the camera and very pleased with BB sales and customer service. I expect the D5500 will give me years of photographic enjoyment.

I got the deluxe SLR bag as part of a kit for my new D3100 camera. It does a pretty good job of holding the 3 lenses, filters, battery charger and extra battery etc. The padding did a good job of protecting the camera but I noticed that when I picked up the bag by the top handle, not the long strap, the inside of the bag was open at either end and you could see the camera through the ends. I am very leery of a case that is poorly sealed against dust and dirt and I tend to carry the bag by the top handle when I get in a situation where I want to keep the bag close and there is more activity ( and more chance of dust). It is comfortable to carry but I am shopping for a bag that can be completely closed.

Bought this battery to keep in case I run out of battery on my original camera battery. It has saved me when I'm taking photos in very cold climates or on long backpacking trips. Small, easy to charge, and performs as expected!

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SANDISK CARDS SanDisk sells cards in various classes. Basically, the higher the class of card, the faster the SD card saves the file (anywhere from 20 MB/second to 95 MB/second). This is important if you want to take advantage of advanced camera functions such as fast action shots, continuous burst mode and multiple frames per second, and HD video (1080p). Photos are written to your card almost instantly at the higher classes so you'll get your best shot, and you’ll save time moving it all from your camera to your computer. If you use these camera functions with a lower class SD card, you may lose data and experience dropouts and stuttering.
ABOUT THIS SANDISK CLASS 10 SD CARD This is a Class 10 SD card with write speeds of 48 MB/second. This card is great for compact-to-midrange point-and-shoot digital cameras and camcorders. I have used these cards in point and shoot cameras and game/trail cameras for the better part of a decade. I have also used some other brands. However, I've never had a SanDisk card malfunction like the other cards I've used have despite operating in below 0 degree to over 100 degrees conditions and running them through the washer/dryer. The manufacturer claims these cards are temperature proof, water proof, shock proof, and x-ray proof. These Class 10 cards are completely compatible with cameras, laptops, tablets, and other devices that support the SDHC and SDXC formats, and are capable of recording hours of HD video (1080p). These cards vary in their storage capacity (16, 32 and 64, and 128 GB).
CONCLUSION The best thing about these cards is that they come with a lifetime limited warranty. However, I doubt that you'd ever use it. If you want quality, you can't go wrong with these SanDisk cards. I hope my review helps!

It's so much fun to watch, and also watch how it gets itself out of a hard spots by lifting its wheels and adjusting to where it's at, the dogs didn't like him at first but now are more or less friends:)it's is also amazing how it learns the room it's in and remembers, I love how easy it is to program it is,and best of all how powerful it is and how much it picks up, if there is more dirt it won't stop on that area until it's done, my wife and I love it and highly recommend it, with my sons medical issues the neato helps free up time for my wife to take care of our son, Thank you

Hard to "love" expensive ink but what ya gonna do?

This is the third boxed set of CANON PG-240XL (black and white)/CL-241XL (color) cartridges I've purchased, and I've never had a problem with these at all. They've installed easily and performed as described. I guess these XL cartridges are a better deal than non-XL cartridges, but, frankly, I can't FIND non-XL cartridges of this type! These specifically yield about 700 pages per set depending upon what you actually print. My current costs for printing runs about 7 cents per page with this ink (and paper) as of June 2012 prices.
I use these on a Canon PIXMA MX432 Wireless Color Photo Printer with plain, white photocopier paper to print documents and occasional coupons. I've popped in some Canon 8 x 10 Semi-Gloss Photo Paper and printed out a few photos and they come out "pretty good." If you're not an image snob, the quality on the photo paper is pretty good. But, it is not professional grade and it doesn't pretend to be so. Photo paper can be pricy, so your per-page costs will increase. Add about 50 cents per 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of photo paper for each page (i.e., rule of thumb page cost would be about 60 cents).
You can't get around the high cost of ink-jet cartridges. My all-in-one PIXMA MX432 printer costs about the same as buying two boxes of these black/color cartridge sets but that's just the way of the ink-jet world. There are no cheap ink-jet cartridges and the pricing here is within normal ranges. If you find a good deal and want to buy several boxes, you should understand that these are rated with a shelf life of about two years so long as you keep them in the package.
I can't say I "love" these ink cartridges. But I like them pretty much in a platonic sort of way. Buy'em if you need'em

This band is beautiful. It's soft and slinky and adds a dressy look to my sport watch. Sadly it just didn't fit me very well and I returned it. Too bad though, it's very classy.
