If you have never seen Slapshot, you really should. It perfectly captures having a dream but not making it to the top of the profession, and just continuing to chuck away in the minor leagues. Many funny scenes, and a lot of fun. It also really captures the 1970s well - a much freer time than today. This blu-ray is the nicest I've seen the movie and well worth buying.

This is Tarantino's best movie since his pre Kill Bill days. He has been returning to making interesting movies lately and this is his best in years. Yes, it could have been better with more plot twists, but the writing and acting are superb. It's a lot of fun to watch.
This blu-ray is the a great presentation of the movie, and this film was shot beautifully by Roger Deakins - it is stunning, both the indoor dark scenes and the snow scenes. It really deserves to be seen in this high quality blu-ray format.

Works great with my laptop. Love that with bluetooth I don't have to sacrifice a usb input. The mouse is small and easy to travel with in a bag, but very comfortable to use. The top has a rubbery texture to it that is nice. Finally, once linked to my laptop it auto connects every time and has never lost its collection.

Vikings Still Strong But Showing Its Age

The Vikings show on History Channel has been excellent. I would highly, highly recommend it. Start at the beginning. This disc is the first half of the 4th season because History split the season into two halves separated by months, which is annoying. The show still is good, has intrigue, lighting, well made but starting to show its age in that some stories are played out yet they keep going back to them. What made the previous seasons so good was that whole new story lines or locations would come about, but they are stuck on some of the characters and stories now, and they really need to move onto some new people/stories/adventures. This seasons is still good, and I recommend watching it, but if they intend to go to a fifth season, they need some new material. The DVD disc works fine, and picture looks very good for DVD. Very convenient format for watching on your time, and unlike digital copies, you can lend it to your friends when you are done to get them into the show. That is how I got into it - a friend was praising it and lent me the first season on DVD, and I was hooked.

You've probably read reviews of Deadpool - if you are on the fence I would say pick it up. It's a funny new twist on the overplayed comic book movie. Picture and sound on the Blu-ray are excellent, worth getting the Blu-ray. Also comes with a digital copy code to get a streaming or downloaded version, which is useful because this movie can be watched for the laughs several times and nice to be able to get it on your phone or tablet or laptop. Overall, I like the Lenovo 910. It's plenty fast, very thin, love the hinges styling - makes it look like the expensive notebook it is. The touchscreen looks great (I have the 1080p one) and works well. Very glossy and sometimes get reflections but not too bad. The right hand shift key is small and not ideal, but it hasn't given me too much toruble yet - would be better if they fix that though. Otherwise, I love the keys - great shape, nice backlight, good travel makes typing pleasant and speedy. Weakest point is the trackpad - it jumps sometimes and worse it simply doesn't respond to two-finger scrolling sometimes. Very annoying. So I recommend this notebook, but plan on getting a good travel size bluetooth mouse like the Microsoft 3600.

Everyone has seen the movie, so I won't say much. As an old school Star Wars fan, I liked it for the most part. Not taking it in original places unlike Lucas, say what you will about his use of green screen and CGI. But once you get over that, the action is good, the new BB8 is cool, the characters are enjoyable, even if there is nobody with the charisma and screen presence of a young Harrison Ford among the new actors. If you are going to buy the blu-ray, which looks fantastic, get the Steelbook from Best Buy. It's pretty cool packaging, and a step above the regular version - worth the couple buck premium.

I bought the new 2016 Roku Streaming Stick to go with my Vizio TV. Everything works much smoother and faster on the stick than the Smart TV apps. My dad has the older Roku stick, and this one is smaller and noticeably faster. Easy to install. One complaint is with the remote - it stops working frequently and I have to open the battery compartment and remove and put back in the batteries to make it work. The batteries are new. It just seems to lose contact or get frozen. I also wish you could change the dedicated app buttons on the remote - to put the ones you want there, and to remove ones when companies go out of business. The Roku itself works great, is a great deal at $50, and one of the best ways to get streaming apps on your TV.

Easy to Read Screen and Nice Features

Bought this phone as a replacement for my parents, whose old set died after many years. They appreciate the large buttons which light up, and the large screen which makes it easy to read incoming call or contact names, and the other symbols. Sound quality is good but nothing special. The handsets are very light which my elderly parents also appreciate it. Saving names from the caller ID list to the saved contacts list is not as straightforward as it should be. Same goes for editing names also. Overall they have been pleased with about 2 months use so far.
