I’ve been a Microsoft Office user for over 20 years now. I also use Apple’s software programs (like Pages and Keynote) and I sometimes use Google Docs when I have to. After all these years, I still like Microsoft’s Office software the best. It could be that it already has what I am familiar with and I know how to use it, but there’s something about the interface I really like. I find it’s easy to figure out how to do stuff. If for some reason you can’t figure something out, just go to Microsoft and watch a tutorial on how to use it. It’s that easy. At first, I wasn’t sold on the 365 idea, but I guess that’s because I had not tried it yet. Now I’m sold. This is great. Generally, I use Apple stuff (macbook, iphone, etc) but Microsoft remains the best when it comes to Office software. I love this version.

Best small portable computer

I’ve been a Mac user for many years, so I am already a little biased towards Apple. My previous laptop was an older MacBook Pro. I decided to go with a MacBook this time because I rarely use the extra ports and features you find in a Pro. I generally use my computer to use the internet, play video games, listen to music, watch movies and TV, Quicken, word processing (I still like Microsoft Office the best), and stuff like that. This MacBook has more than enough power to handle all that. It’s small. This is so nice because it’s easy to carry everywhere I go. It feels very sturdy and I’ve used it a lot in the past couple months. My last mac died suddenly (it was six years old) but I had been regularly using Time Machine to back it up. When I set up this MacBook I just used my Time Machine backup. It worked perfectly. I didn’t lose any data. I loved my old MacBook Pro, but after about two days of using this MacBook, I forgot about that old mac. This thing is awesome. The keyboard took some getting used to, but I can type really fast on it now that my fingers have adjusted to it. I had to buy a dongle to use all my devices that I plug into my computer. This didn’t bother me too much since I usually only use those devices when I’m at home, so it was a worthy sacrifice for the small size of this computer. If you want a small portable computer, I can’t think of anything better than this MacBook.

my favorite Zagg screen protector

I have used Zagg products on my iPhones for many years now. The first one I got was when my iPhone 4 was brand new. I have tried other Zagg covers, like the glass ones, and I do not like them as much. I DO NOT use a case on my phone and never have. I just make a point to be careful with it, but I have dropped phones before (never had one break). This screen protector did its job and protected from scratches and my glass has never been cracked. The newer versions of Zagg screen protectors (not this one) don't discolor your screen. This one does, but only a very little bit. When it is new, it looks great. As the case gets old it doesn't look as nice. Because of the price, you can just do what I do and buy a new one. You get months or years of use out of them. Also, I love the way it has a "grip" feel to it, which I think helps prevent me from dropping my phone too often. I personally think the original Zagg is still the best.

The item is exactly as described. It is an optical audio cable. It's very thin and does not tangle easily. I use mine to hook up the optical audio out on my Sony TV to the optical input on my Denon home theater receiver. How does optical sound? Excellent. If you have optical input/outputs on your set-up I would highly recommend using this cable.

She wanted an easy way to tell her computer from my MacBook, so I bought her this. It looks nice on the MacBook, but I wish it would fit better. Easy to use/Easy to clean

I purchased this microwave to replace a microwave I had owed for over 10 years. I had no idea how much microwaves have changed. My old microwave was designed to do a bunch of stuff I never used it for. This one is perfect for what I use a microwave for: reheating, defrosting, popcorn and heating water. It has easy to use buttons for those things. I really like the “reheating” button because that is what I use most often. It’s simple to use and if you need help, the instructions are on the inside of the door. I also noticed it is easy to clean. A damp sponge wipe down does the trick. It’s a great microwave. I hope it last 10 years like my old one, but I’ve only had it for two months. It seems well built.

do i need these to hook up external speakers to an Insignia TV?
Maybe. It is difficult to answer this question without knowing exactly what model of TV and what kind of external speakers you are talking about. In general, if you are using your TV to watch "over the air" HDTV (in other words, not cable or satellite) or if you have a "smart" TV, you need a way to get the audio from your TV to your external speakers. The best way to do that is with an optical cable.
I have two TVs in my house that are hooked up to external speakers with an audio cable and both set-ups required the use of an optical cable to get the audio from the TV to be played through the external speakers. Check the back of your TV and external speakers for an optical audio port. In my first set-up, I have a Sony TV hooked up to a Denon receiver that powers a 5.1 speaker set-up. This is an older model TV and for years I used it with DirecTV, which was hooked up to my receiver via HDMI, so I never noticed that I "needed" an optical audio cable. However, last year I cancelled my DirecTV and couldn't get the audio from my TV's tuner to come out my home theater speakers, until I purchased an optical cable (Insignia). I plugged the optical out on my TV to the optical in on my receiver. I pushed a button on my receiver telling it that the TV was hooked up via optical input. The next thing I knew I was listening to amazing sound quality using an antenna. It's nice.
In my other set-up, I have a Sony Smart TV hooked up to a Sony Sound Bar (external speakers). In this set-up, I had to use an optical cable by hooking up the audio out on the TV to the audio in on the soundbar. However, my soundbar came with an optical cable, so I did not have to purchase one.
