Great smart watch with nice features.

I was looking at this smart watch ever since it came out and was waiting for any store to have it. I like the Samsung Gear S2 Classic over the regular version because it looks a little fancier.
Having had this watch for a few weeks now I can say that it works very well. Here are some of the pro's.
-My biggest need for this watch was to get notifications that I was missing on my phone. The vibration on the last few generations of smart phones has been terrible and I miss calls and texts all the time. The Gear S2 watch has solved that problem for me. I was able to configure just the notifications I wanted (calls, texts, emails, calendar, etc.) and skip the others that are less important that I can get to later (facebook, instagram, etc.)
- The other fantastic feature is the screen and the interface. This is the only watch that uses a rotating bezel to navigating menu options. This IMO is much better solution over Apple's little side dial.
The battery life is also fantastic. I am able to use the watch for 2 days on a single charge.
Finally the fitness tools are pretty good. There is a setting to track your heart rate throughout the day the only caveat is that the watch needs to be pretty tight on your wrist which some people might not like. I have also used it to go running and it does a good job of tracking heart rate throughout the run as well steps and distance. If you take your phone with you it will also use the phone's gps to track your path. All of this goes into Samsung's S Health app which isn't as good as some of the other apps out there and I don't think you can access your data outside of the phone which is problematic.
- The leather band is also very good. When you first get it is a little stiff but after wearing it for a couple of weeks it works very nicely. Additionally, it uses a standard band which makes it easy to switch it out for a different band of your choosing.
The watch isn't perfect either. Here are some of the cons.
- The watch OS is not android wear. Samsung decided to go with their own Tizen OS. The problem with this is that the list of available apps is a little limited at least for the time being. It isn't much of a problem for me but it is something to keep in mind.
-Limited set of watch faces. This is the same problem as above. There are a fair number of options but it's not huge. There are also some nice customization options for each watch face.
- No google maps. Same as above. You Here Maps instead. I personally don't like it and I think the screen is too small for maps. The phone is a better choice for navigation in my opinion.
- The phone uses S Voice over Google Voice. I really would have preferred Google voice here. I have found Google Voice to be much better. The voice feature is helpful for responding to text messages on your watch and looking up info.
Given the pro's and the cons I really like the watch. Overall the watch is great but doesn't hit 5 stars because of some of the cons listed above.

Great TV for a great price

We were looking to put a TV in the bedroom. I started looking at the 4k TV's since they have come down in price and the picture looks great in the store. Having done some research it turns out that unless you have a much larger TV (70" or bigger) then getting a 4k isn't worth it.
I was originally looking at the Samsung TVs which were about the same size and had similar features. They were a little more however I would have to say that the Vizio TV had the better picture and was less money. I've tried to stay away from the off brand manufacturers thinking that the quality was lower than the major companies like Sony, Samsung, Mitsubishi etc. In this case I was clearly wrong.
Pro's
- The picture was fantastic. I played with the settings a little bit when we brought it home to get the color right but it was pretty minimal.
- The smart tv supports Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, youtube and lots of other providers. I was surprised at how good Youtube was on TV over looking at it on a laptop or tablet.
- The wifi worked well. It was a little bit of a pain to setup using the onscreen keyboard but you only have to do it once.
- The startup time was acceptable. I know some people felt that it takes too long to turn on and get a signal but we are talking about a few seconds which is more than acceptable in my book.
Cons
- The speakers work pretty well but the extreme lows from some movies and tv shows sound distorted. I ended up getting a vizio sound bar which fixed that problem,
- The remote control works but the buttons are quite small and hard to see in the dark. It would have been nice if there was a backlight option or bigger buttons with a better layout.
This is without a doubt a great purchase which I will enjoy for years to come.

how does s health work on the gear s2 classic without GPS?

It works pretty well without the GPS. I have gone running and it will track steps and heart rate during your run. If your take your phone with you it will grab GPS and weather data while you are running and will track your path and the weather.
