I have a garmin that I bought a year ago and a case just like this one but made exclusively for the 5 in unit that I have. When I bought this one on line I thought it was the same one (my mistake I looked at mine and the picture and they matched.) It turns out that best buy does not carry the smaller one (which is perfect). Well I returned it only because it is big..if you have the 6 inch unit I highly reccomend. I wish BB still carried the smaller version.

I bought this unit for my daughter who is a new driver. She is able to find anything quickly with this unit, because it is intuitive. Just enter the address and hit go. If you don't know the adress, it will tell you restraunts, gas stations, car washes, museums, home depot, you name it the unit tells you how far away and how long it will take to get there from where you are now. you can also tap the car and save it's location such as your parking spot at the zoo.

Good weather radio for a reasonable price

This radio is for one thing and one thing only....to alert you of emergencies...floods, storms, chemical spills, etc. It does this very well.
The radio sets up quickly by hitting the menu key and then using the arrows to page thru the options...what kind of allerts do you want to be notified of (I picked all). When the national weather service sends out a warning you get a warning tone that could wake the dead and then the verbal warning....winter storm, tornadoe, etc. You can hit the paddle any time for weather forcasts also. The unit looks good, the sound is a bit like an old AM radio...you have six or seven channels to choose from and you pick the one that comes in the best...but if I had one improvement to suggest it would be a better speaker. For the price it is great.
