It is a very brilliant idea to have units like this. I wanted to replace and old smaller TV on the living room and honestly I didn't want to spend a fortune on a decent 55". It doesn't have all the smart bloat applications (That requires $ub$cription$).
The quality; for a 55", 1080p, 60Hz, 8ms response, this unit display a very decent picture compared to other model (IN ITS CLASS). I don't know why some people compare TV contrast ratios because each manufacturer handles this ratios differently. Being realistic as a human that comes from work and wants to see the news or watch a movie, this unit has a decent contrast combination. Pretty bright white luminance and dark blacks.
The inboard chromecast device is a bonus. It works just like the external chromecast device. With a good Internet service, decent router(s) and good signal there is no streaming delay. Do not expect miracles with mediocre routers. Streaming from phones, tablets or computers of different platforms (iOS, Android, PC, MAC, Linux) is a plus. Ok, chromecast setup might not be a cup of tea for everyone, but once it is setup correctly it work flawlessly.
Using the tuner of this unit with a simple amplified digital antenna is quite impressing too. I have a few 1080 channels over the air using digital antenna and I'm quite impress with the sharpness and quality.
Now, the remote control is weird. The engineers of this unit forgot to add numbers to the control. You can't type channel number and hit enter to go to that channel. You will need to hit up or down in order to browse channels.
TOSHIBA: NOT EVERYTHING IS CLOUD. There are normal people in this earth. Over the air channels still exist. ADD THE NUMBER PAD TO THE CONTROLLER. It's inexpensive.
For people concerned about budget and want to upgrade a TELEVISION (On, Watch, Off) not an appliance to talk to mars with all the techy !@#$% specs, I totally recommend this unit.

Google definitely upgraded this device. To begin with 5GHz support (Fast Streaming, Thumbs Up) So far no wireless connection drops. The Android / IOS app and Chrome Extension really respond to start and stop commands. Still a high speed network / internet is a must in order to achieve best results, but that's common sense.
Just a minor annoyance, the HDMI cable. Why in the world they decide to make this device with an HDMI little cable attached to it. It could be better to have a HDMI port and locate the device in any other place instead of hidden behind a TV in which reduce the wireless signal.
Other than that, it is the best casting device.

I think is a very good power supply for the money (When its on sale for $79.99). Can't go wrong with the semi modular design (All black cables and easy to hide), good quality components and the 3 warranty from Corsair. A little downside is that is just 80 PLUS Bronze certification, but it's better than any cheapo, low quality components, unstable PSU's that who knows who make the HI-POT test on them. It is SLI compatible, has dedicated 12v rail, silent thermal controlled fan and it is small. It fits in my mini-itx built running a i7 4790k Haswell 4th generation.

Good quality in a decent price

I don't understand why spend a hundred(s) in a headphone set just to hear music and answer the phone. Compared with other earbuds, this one has the best specs, manufacturing and sound quality than any other at the same price level. Depending on the position of the earbud in the ear it might response better to low frequencies. On high frequencies nothing to say, crystal clear. For some people they might fall off easily, but they are more comfortable than the in-ear type.

I bought two of them on September 2012. One for gateway and the other for router as an access point. I have to reset them in December because of the firmware update. After that I have to check if I have routers. They have excellent feature set for the end user. Once configured PROPERLY it is a rock solid router. I'm so sad dd-wrt is not working very good with v3, but if VPN is not a priority, there's no need for it. Compared to my other pair of Linksys E4200 the WNDR3700 v3 in vertical position has a litlle or almost unoticeable less power on 5ghz signal. I dont have any 450mbps 5ghz wireless device to test the speed on the E4200, but in general without going too technical I don't see much of a difference. As a single router with dual band 2.4ghz and 5ghz with two more guess accounts, a couple of decent features you can control quite a few 54, 150, 300mbps devices withou the need of multiple router. If there is a necesity for multiple routers the new firmware "genie" has the AP mode feature (which was not available in the old firmware) A breeze to setup.
What's great about it: Installation, Up Time
What's not so great: None, Atractive to scratches I guess.

Our outlet and cable will be right behind where I want to mount the my 40" TV. Does the mount give you enough "wiggle room" to allow for the plug and cable connection? The manual says I need at least 4 inches for proper heat ventilation too. Thanks!

Can this TV be mounted to the wall with a wall mount?
Of course, please make sure you put screws in the studs of the frame of the wall. Do not anchor in plain drywall.

What is the distance between the feet on the tv? I'm trying to figure out how wide of a stand I would need to set this on.
Honestly, the dimensions are not identified in the manual, but it is around 36" to 38" from end to end. TV is @ 49" Now, please aim for a 50" or more due to aesthetics and safety.

How can I connect the chromecast to an old TV with Yellow/Red/White RCA inputs?
Hi, no you need an HDMI > to > AV Composite RCA Video / Audio Converter. Be careful some cables do not do the job. Most adapters do the job and can be as cheap as $20 while others $400+.
