Decent laptop

Needed a new laptop after my previous one died. Took advantage of the Back To School tax free weekend. Narrowed my search to two. Chose this one, no thanks to any of the Best Buy staff. Happy to say I am much happier with the laptop than the buying experience. Set up was straight forward and no hassle. Still getting use to Windows 10, greatly miss Windows 7. Keyboard has a nice feel, plus the numbers pad I prefer. Touch pad is very responsive. I rarely use touch pads and far prefer using a mouse. I actually find myself using this touch pad far more than previous laptops. Start up a processing seem a bit laggy. Have uninstalled a few built in programs which slightly helped. Performance is probably on par with other laptops in this price range though. Touch screen a nice feature and I use much more than I expected. Speech recognition not all that wonderful and I have since disabled. Overall a decent laptop for the price.

For the RV

We recently bought a 22' RV. Purchased an Insignia 24" tv for it. The TV itself is perfect for the RV, with the exception of the sound. The single speaker on the TV is pretty weak, and coupled with a running RV air conditioner doesn't help. Wanted a small sound bar to project the sound better without adding a lot of bulk to the TV and RV. This little sound bar does the job. Certainly wont win any awards for sound bar of the year, but does the job I needed it to do.

Mixed Feelings

I bought this product originally in May. It was not available in store and any of the local Best Buy locations near me, but was available at several of the Orlando locations. I bought online for pick up at one of the Orlando locations and made the hour plus drive each way to go and pick up. The in store pickup was a smooth transaction like previous in store transactions have been. Got home, and the set up was relatively easy and straight forward, which was welcomed. Product performed flawlessly for the first few days. Then I started having issues. This combo unit was purchased to replace a individual modem an individual router that was causing me. issues. When this unit started giving me issues about 12 into having, it lead me to believe that my problems may actually be Century Link related and not hardware related. Called Century Link repair service. It took a couple days for them to actually come out and investigate. They determined that the issue was indeed hardware related and not a line issue. Unfortunately by the time this was determined, my modem/router was just past the 14 return window. I wasn't aware of the 14 day return policy on this item until I called Best Buy to see what my return options were without having to make the long drive back to Orlando. After listening to my problem and some great customer service work by the Best Buy staff, they made an exception for return and provided me a shipping label to their return center. I actually just wanted a replacement unit, but because of the exception outside of the normal return unit that was not possible. I had to physically go and reorder the product after they received the defective unit and waited for my account to be credited. I did reorder the product, this time knowing the 14 day return policy and being hesitant over the previous issue, I added the 2 year protection plan to my purchase just to be safe. I had the item shipped to my house. It arrived quickly in 2 days. Once again the setup was easy and straight forward. We are about a month into ownership and so far eveything is running fine. So that leads me to my title line; Mixed Feelings. Long term I really don't know how this unit will perform. Short term, the setup was very easy and when it is working it works great. Hopefully the first unit was just defective. Either way, this time I am covered for 2 years. Although I feel the Best Buy 14 day return window should be at least 30 days, I do appreciate them listening to my situation and taking my long time customer purchasing history into account to help me return my original defective unit. Overall, I have always received exceptional customer service from Best Buy over the years and this has kept me coming back for my electronic and appliance purchases.
