Excellent TV for home theater!

I did a ton of research for a new 75 inch TV for our home theater needs. The price for what you get on this unit is hard to beat! We are using it for primarily watching Blue-ray movies, 3D movies and occasional streaming. We will also use it for viewing football at times, but not for daily regular programming from cable/satellite. The image quality for 3D and Blue-ray has been stunningly beautiful!
I don't see any motion issues while watching live football broadcasts. The image quality for sports does not seem to be as good as our plasma, but it really comes down to the fact that this 4K HDTV (like most others) will display as good as any incoming signal will provide. The better the signal (Blue-ray, Active 3D, HD streaming, etc) the better the picture. If the incoming signal isn't great, then the TV will attempt to upscale the image, but that up-scaling to 4K HD won't look as good as an old HD plasma on the same signal.
I downloaded the latest firmware when we installed it. Within the first hour after connecting all the external items (Blue-Ray player, Satellite Receiver, and Home Theater Receiver), the TV would not present any image from any source. The menu still displayed, and we could hear the audio from whatever source we attempted (DVD, satellite, Internet stream, etc), but no video. We called Sony Support, and they had us hold down the power button on the remote to "reboot" the TV. This cleared up everything, and we haven't had any issues since. It's good to know that you may need to "reboot" these if they get flaky like that. Just turning it off and on may not do it, so I hope that helps if anyone else has the same issue.
This is an excellent TV for the price! It will certainly bridge us for the next few years until OLED is more mainstream.

These 3D glasses worked perfectly with our Sony XBR75X850C TV. It wasn't real obvious how to sync them, so here's a tip:
1. With the TV remote, select the "HOME" button. Then scroll down to "SETTINGS," then scroll down to "NETWORK & ACCESSORIES," and then scroll right to "BLUETOOTH SETTINGS."
2. Select "BLUETOOTH SETTINGS," then select "DEVICE LIST," and select "ADD ACCESSORY."
3. Walk within 2 feet of the TV, and on the 3D glasses, hold down the button inside the frames on the right side until you see the TV indicate that the pairing has completed.
To turn the glasses on, just hit that same button once quickly and you'll see the red light go from dim to bright. To turn them off, hit the same button quickly, and the red light will go from bright to dim.
I hope this helps others, as the instructions were not very clear.

Does this stand come pre assembled?
I'd like to purchase this stand, and I've read a few reviews that said no assembly required, but the employee at the Best Buy store told me it has to all be assembled. So which is it? For $999.00 I refuse to assemble it myself.
It comes fully assembled. You just need to set the shelf height and decide if you want the clear glass or the wood panels over the doors when you unpack it. It is VERY heavy, so be sure to have someone to help move it, or have Best Buy deliver it.

How many DVDs fit in the two media drawers/shelves?
There are four total shelves (upper left, lower left, upper right, lower right) and each one can hold about 28 - 30 standard sized DVD cases. There is a nice adjustable book-end to assist in holding them in place on each shelf.
