Add deep, low-frequency bass impact to your movies and music with Polk's PSW108. This subwoofer is powered by a high-current amplifier producing 50 watts RMS/100 watts clean, dynamic power for loud bass and a wide dynamic range necessary to recreate a life-like home theater experience. Features front-firing 10" composite polymer cone driver that adds depth to your audio tracks and provides more bass impact for your sound system. The cabinet is constructed from non-resonant MDF with internal bracing for superior bass clarity and accuracy. Features flexible inputs and controls like power-saver on/auto switch, independent volume control and a toggle phase switch on the back panel for a cohesive unit. Place the subwoofer on the same side of the room as your system's front speakers for the best performance

Adds fuller base sound to any surround system

I listen the subwoofer for music (not home theater) and also own the competitive Yamaha product. The Polk PSW 108 is great addition to any surround sound system adding a fuller base dimension and complementing existing speakers. The speaker has smooth even tones and response. I don’t sense the subwoofer “kicking in” but simply supplementing the range of the system.

The DP-300F has been designed with heavier base construction for reduced vibration and improved performance. This easy-to-operate fully automatic record player comes with a manual lifter mechanism that lets you to place the needle on the record wherever you want, so you can skip to a different song in the middle of a side. The tonearm has a removable headshell for ease of cartridge replacement, and features adjustable balance and anti-skating controls for proper tracking. The diecast aluminum platter produces uniform rotation for smooth flutter free operation. The turntable is powered by a DC servo motor and belt drive system and has rotation speeds of 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. Built-in phono equalizer preamp connects to almost any receiver or amplifier for an open, more enveloping soundstage. Includes a MM cartridge so you can enjoy your analog record collection right out of the box as soon as the DP-300F is connected to your home hi-fi system.

Solid Full-Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable
on December 28, 2016

I’ve owned 5 turntables, Garrard, Akai, Sony, Audo-Technica, and this Denon. I purchased this turntable for its fully-automatic feature when listening to music while doing other things. The sound is competitive with other models. Full rich base tones and bright highs. Pitch is as expected with no discernible wow. The table has a solid feel and minimizes any resonate feed-back from the speakers. The tracking is good. It is a good-looking unit. The damping of the tone-arm could be a little more and lands a little roughly. If you want an automatic turntable this is one of the best choices I’ve seen.

Can I use this with my Denon AVR-X2100W receiver? Do I need different cables to connect? Thx

I have the turntable but do not have the Denon AVR-X2100W receiver. The Denon DL-300F come with an analog Red/White 3ft signal cable that appears can be connected to the AVR-X2100W "HDMI incomparable device" inputs (you have a choice of 4 CBL, DVD, bray, CD) to provide for a turntable. The Denon DL-300F comes with a built-in pre-amp that should be set to ON. On the Denon DL-300F the pre-amp is called the "Equalizer" and the switch to it can be found under the turntable patter and is accessible by a window in the patter. See #13 in the attached diagram.

Does this turntable, SKU: 7862618, require speakers?

Yes - The turntable does require speakers and will need to be connected to an amplifier, receiver, or powered speakers (i.e., monitor speakers) such as the Behringer MS20 or units by other manufacturers.

Does this turntable work without a receiver?

Yes - The unit come with a phone pre-amp that increase the line-out current to be comparable with POWERED speakers such as the Behringer MS20 or MS40 (recommend and own 3 sets) or units by other manufactures. These speakers have their own amplifier built-in and require AC-Power and are called "monitor speakers". Just be sure the turntable pre-amp is ON. On the Denon DL-300F the pre-amp is called the "Equalizer" and the switch to it can be found under the turntable patter and is accessible by a window in the patter. See #13 in the attached diagram. Please note that all turn-tables are sensitive to vibration and I would not place any speakers near the turntable as vibration from the speakers will find the resonance of the turntable and feed-back up the stylus needle. Enjoy the music.

Can I use this with my Denon AVR-X2100W receiver? Do I need different cables to connect? Thx

Yes - This turntable is comparable with just about any receiver I have seen in the past 30 years. It has its own pre-amp in the unit so a "phono" input on the receiver is not required. I do not believe the Denon AVR-X2100W has has a phono pre-amp. No worries. Under the turntable patter is a switch called "equalizer" just make sure it is set to ON.
