Awesome TV. Sony is Back Baby
on March 11, 2017

Ok to make this Short I purchased the 850 Series. The Black Level was Terrible, and it had Flashlighting in the corners. I was replacing a FALD TV from 2013 a Sony XBR. So when I seen this unit and noticed it said it was a Full Array Local Dimming Set I purchased it sight unseen. Because I knew how well Sony can make a FALD TV set. I set it up and Bam was amazed. The Blacks are truely Black, Like OLED Black. My Dad was very impressed since it was for him anyway. We have been watching the Star Trek TOS on Netflix and the Colors Pop onscreen it is awesome. Highly Recomend this Set. It is Way Better than the 930 series Sony which is Onsale right now for a few hundred less than this one but the FALD sets cannot be beat they are the Cream of the Crop . Only Sony's Z9D series can Beat this set and it is $2500 more than this.

This Sony 65-inch 4K HDR TV is slim enough to place or mount in most areas. Android TV offers more entertainment options, and Sony's 4K processor X1 generates a wider brightness range than typical LED TVs. Use a smartphone to quickly find information and search by voice command on this Sony 65-inch 4K HDR TV.

Sony Missed Oportunity
on March 3, 2017

Purchased this Set to Replace a FALD (Full Array Local Diming) 1080P XBR TV which at the time is the cream of the crop in blacks without going to a OLED Display.
Pros: Excellent Colors, Very Bright for HDR.
Cons: Light Bleed, Flashlighting in Bottom Right Hand Corner. Blacks are Terrible at least compared to my Old 1080P set. Black are more like Medium Gray.
I wish I would have picked up the 930 series at least it had edge lit local dimming. It looked good in the store and was onsale at the time I went to order it and ofcourse it is sold out. So I purchased the new 2017 900E series which according to Sony's info is a FALD, Full Array Local Dimming.
Remember that OLED is Great for reproducing Black but it cannot produce the Brightest Whites like LED lit LCD sets so, HDR programming will be limited on a OLED set commpared to a LCD/LED.
If this is being used in a BAR or Commercial Setting it would work fine but for a Home Setting.

Great Sony Turntable, Simplistic Look, Great Audio
on January 14, 2017

Ok my Last Sony Turntable purchased is the Sony PSLX350H, I still use it it still sounds great after all these years. Well I wanted a New Turntable for my Home Theater Room and I liked the Simplistic Look of this Turntable and Decided to buy it. It has a built in Phono PreAmp my old one does not so since most of Sony's High End ES equipment does not even have a Phono Input I needed one with a Phono PreAmp to output correctly into my Receiver. I must say yes it is Made Out of Plastic but it Still Sound Fantastic. I wish they would bring out a Sony ES Turntable in the Future, but that is neither here nor there. I got mine on Sale so I think I spent a $100 Less then it is listed here. Best Buy does have them on sale from time to time. It in my opinion is Worth It.

I'm speechless with the picture quality
By Neker718
The most amazing picture quality ever PERIOD, I received my Sony a1e on 4-14-17, and straight out of the box, the picture quality is outstanding, I thought the sound coming from the screen was a gimmick, but I was so wrong, the sound quality is amazing, even though I have a 7.1.2 surround sound with Dolby atmos, and I love the sound coming from the screen, this is the perfect sound to watch drama movies, the blacks are superb and the detail on black scenes blew me away, the HDR contest on this tv has no competition, this tv is worth the money in every aspect, the motion handling is incredible, I'm so amazed by this tv, We all. Know that the screen is from LG, but what makes the difference here is the Sony processing, the picture quality, the motion handling and the X1extreme chip, for those with doubts about this tv, just go to see it on display and I guarantee you that you will write the same review like my, from now then, I'll call this tv the HOLY GRAIL of all tv's.

Is it as bright as a LED backlit HDR TV
April 19, 2017
How is the HDR on this set. Can it Produce the same Brightness as the LED lit Sony Sets? Because I know that OLED tech couldn't get as high on brightness as the LED sets for brightness for that HDR Effect.

Is a Bose compatible with a turntable?

can i hook up a turntable to my Bose cd/radio player?
You will need either a Turntable with a Built in Phono PreAmp or buy a External Phono PreAmp then you would hook up the Red and White RCA cable directly to your Aux or CD input on your Bose as long as it has inputs like that, I don't know your model of your Bose.

Sony LX300USB Speed issues with New Vinyl

I just bought this item last weekend and it play my old vinyl (70's, 80's and 90's) just perfect. But I have a brand new Bowie lp on 180gram vinyl and the speed fluctuates in the middle when played. Can this item not handle the new thicker vinyl output?
Play's my 180gram LP's Fine. You might try resetting up the Tone Arm weight. I was lucky I got it right the first time but I know that sometimes they can get knocked out of adjustment. Second thought would be to Call Sony Support 800-222-7669 during a Weekday you will get the US call Center.
