Real wireless, real quality sound!
on November 7, 2020

Let me break it down how good these earphones are:
1) They are so easy to pair. From the box, I placed the earphones in the case. Then I put them in my ears. My phone easily recognized them. Each earphone is paired to each other and was easily paired to my phone.
2) The fit is okay. I had to make sure I twist them back to my ears to get a good fit. I lucked out that the buds size is right for my ears, though Yamaha included other sized buds. It sits in my ears pretty snug, however, I don't think I can take it out running because it slides off every so often when I abruptly move. I don't think they are sport ones anyway.
3) I think this is the most important--Sound quality is VERY VERY GOOD. When I first put the earphones on, the sound was just okay. I thought I had to adjust the equalizer. But remember, like any earphones, they have to sit right in your ears. When I had them snug in my ears, the sound quality just increased 300%. The base was so full, and the quality of the highs and mids were discernable from each other.
4) The call quality is good as well. I like it that it automatically picks up my voice commands. So my assistant works easily. So I usually do voice commands to call friends and phone calls on this are pretty crisp. So far in the days that I have them, the calls have not dropped on me or the connection stays stable even if I have my phone in the next room.
Maybe one minor con is the case-- it feels flimsy to the touch. But how often to I actually engage with the case? So I don't think that matters too much, but just something I think I should note. Regardless, I think these earphones are great. The phone call quality is just a plus-- the sound of music is worth it!

Decently fast!

I am not a fan of wireless chargers, only because it's not difficult to plug my phone in and get faster charging. However, this wireless charger is actually pretty good. First, it charges fast, especially for a wireless charger. 25% of my phone for 45 minutes. I think that's great. Also, it is stealthy on any desk. I placed it on my work desk for a while and everytime I just put my phone down, it simply charges. Then I moved it to the family room, just behind my soundbar-- so that I have less gadgets out. And it is nicely tucked there and every time I get guests over who needs charging, I just tell them to put it on the stand. And they get a decent charge no matter how short someone stays over.
It is a dependable and convenient charger.

Great Quality Keyboard
on October 26, 2020
Posted by: DarR

This is a beautifully made keyboard. The look of it complements my modern desk. More than the look itself though, this keyboard is not your typical keyboard.
- The build is very lean—you get all the keys of a full keyboard but the size is compact. It does not take up too much space on my desk. Given its compact build, the spaces between keys are very reasonable distanced. I have average-sized hands and I do not have any issues typing.
- It is also very well-built. The lines, the quality of the keys, the base of the keyboard, are all crisp and elegantly made.
- The typing quality has some reasonable noise to it and the ride to the response click is a little far for my taste especially that I am used to keyboard covers. However, there is some soothing feel to the type—the feedback is, as I would say, partially addicting. The clicks as you press the keys are very engaging while the “bounce” is smooth. It makes me want to keep typing.
- The lighting effects are pretty cool too—but of course, that is only icing on the cake.
This keyboard is complete; it responds well, it looks good and is compact. This is a great addition for WFH setups.

Good coffee made easy at home
on October 23, 2020

I was a little skeptical about this product, considering it is not the regular K-cup pods (it takes in regular nespresso size pods). This means, it is a little harder to buy this size coffee cups at retailers-- at least here in Los Angeles, regular food stores I went to did not have them. But guess what, there's a lot of options online and are much cheaper too! (Also, surprise, surprise, bestbuy.com has them too—I have been buying gadgets only on bestbuy so I did not know they had these pods too—makes it convenient!)
Anyway, once I had the coffee pods, it was soooo easy. The form-factor of this machine is slim. It fits perfectly in the middle of my microwave and my toaster. I just put the pod in and I get good coffee.
It also comes with a milk frother that puts body into that milk just fine. You just pull the pitcher out of the frother base and it is ready for pouring. And it is easy to clean.
I have seen bigger coffeemakers that look fancier and are maybe way more expensive-- but hey, this machine can do the same thing and it fits well even if I do not have so much counter space.
This one is worth it.

Simple and easy
on October 16, 2020

Coffee is routine, and the first thing you need is something that enables that routine. This coffeemaker is all that.
1) It is easy to use out of the box. Instructions straight forward. Hte machine is very lean in terms of functionality without sacrificing "automation"
2) Programming is easy. I did not even have to read the instructions to figure out how to make it brew my coffee the folllowing day. And the buttons are simple buttons that are responsive to every press.
3) Of course, how the coffee tastes is up to me, and this one makes it easy for me to do it. I don't have to think about it too much and my daily routine just flows along (get it?) just as we all want it.
Maybe one concern is that there is some coffee stuck on the carafe when you pour coffee out-- meaning, not all of it comes out (stays by the brim / lid when pouring), which is a little challenging when it comes to cleaning. But it's super minor-- nothing anyone cannot live with.
Also, it looks nice and it does not take up a lot of counter space. But hey, with a coffeemaker this easy, it is worth every little inch it occupies. This one is a winner!

More simple than it looks
on October 14, 2020

This coffee machine looks nice. Especially with the digital buttons and the sleek form, it looks great on my counter top. However, for someone like me who uses an espresso machine where each interaction with the coffeemaker is one serving, the learning curve to using this machine was a little steep. The downside is, the manual does not really focus on the actual usage. So I had to learn a lot while I was using it, not before I used it.
For example, the water level determines your amount of coffee produced in the carafe. So if you pour for 14 cups, you will get 14 cups. The "1-4" cup coffee option, is relative to the strength, not the amount the maker will dispense. The buttons and programming directions is also not easily digestible-- again from a different coffee machine type user. However, once I have figured them out, the coffee maker was easy to use.
Also, you have to learn how to press the buttons correctly. They are not always responsive. There is a certain pressure you need to apply to the buttons for it to respond. Again, some learning curve to operating it.
After "mastering" the usage, I can easily make coffee, program the time, etc. There is not much to it really, but a good coffee machine maker, meaning the brewing is great and that's all you need anyway. I would just rather you navigate through it by yourself so you'll learn how to dance with it better.
My advice: do not be overwhelmed like me. Just use it.

Good monitor for a good video card
on September 27, 2020
Posted by: DarR
from Los Angeles CA, USA
It is a big monitor but it is surprisingly light. The stand is very stable and is easily adjustable too in height however, I have my own mounting bracket for my gaming desk so I am not using the stand. But since the monitor is light and has a universal vesa mounting at the back, it is easy to attach it to my current set up.
This is my first curved monitor so I was a bit skeptical about visibility. The curved monitor gives my view, some good protection from my window light. That’s a good plus.
So far, my experience on this monitor has been great. It is not 4K but the quality is still good being full HD. There are no problems on heavy graphic transitions, especially on cut scenes. This is mainly what I look at because I hate to see chunky lags when I play. And panning views on landscape scenes are very clear with no fuzz on the objects like mountains or trees as the focus moves.
So it’s good addition to my gaming set up. I enjoy playing on it. If you’re a stickler for video rendering, this should be a good companion alongside your video card.

Good once you get used to it

These headphones check off a lot of basics in a gaming headset. Full adjustability on the cups, snug fit, good sound quality, surprisingly light for its build and lastly, comes with the wireless dongle that makes it easy to connect.
I will say they are good headphones for its price but it’s a pair that required me to dance with it for me to love it:
The build is plastic; it feels flimsy but helps with it being light—it makes me move my head easily especially that I get really animated on intense moments when I play.
Comfort – these headphones are snug but there is a little tightness to it. Good thing is that the sound quality is great for me to be so immersed in playing that I forget they are on—but it does hurt a bit after a good two hours of it on.
I did experience some issues with the range—I cannot get a snack or go to the restroom on quick breaks. I need to take it off—then when it sleeps, I need to turn it on/off to get it back working. I mean I wouldn’t be walking around on a normal session, however, I just thought it is something I need to point out because I do need my breaks and I would rather keep my headphones on.
The microphone is good—it is easy, I have visual cues on when they are muted—like the red light flashing on the dongle. However, I just have mixed feelings about me hearing my environment over the mic when there is sound around me. It makes me aware of my environment for sure, so that’s a plus. It just takes me away from the gaming experience in between cut scenes.
Also, mentioning cut scenes, I do hear static on heavy graphic scenes in transition. So that’s something I really dislike.
The Stealth 600 is not something I loved from beginning, but the more I used it, the more I learned to adapt. It is not an ideal trait you would like in a pair of headphones because I would like it to adapt to my style, but it’s still a great value pair. The really great thing about it is the sound quality and I think that in itself is a major plus. It won’t be my first choice for headphones but if you can get used to it, it can be a good pair.

Solid Headphones
on September 8, 2020
Posted by: DarR
from Los Angeles CA, USA
One of the main things I look for with headphones is comfort. Sound quality diminishes if the fit is not snug. Battery life is nothing if I cannot wear it for a good amount of time. The G733 is very comfortable. It only has two settings—the vertical sliding cups and the headband which makes it so easy to adjust. So just slap it on and I’m always ready-to-go.
Connectivity is easy and stable – I always liked the dongle for some reason, only because Bluetooth connectivity fails and I have to troubleshoot every time. This type of connection makes it easy.
Transmission quality is seamless. On other headphones, I have an issue with screen transitions on different games, especially when the cut scenes load up on big games. This device keeps up with the transitions and there are no drop outs. Regarding sound quality, it is not impressive—meaning I get this from other units. However, it is not sloppy either. I would say, dependable is the word—and that’s all I need when I’m actually out gaming.
The headphones themselves are built solid—they are plastic but they don’t feel flimsy. However, the cups cannot be opened sideways, which can be very useful when someone tries to talk to you (who is not gaming). But like I mentioned earlier, the headphones, once set are so easy to put on and take out—without messing up your adjustments. If in any case you need to mute, it just requires some getting used to—there are different sound cues when you press the mute button so you need to know what sound it makes when you are muted or when you are not.
Maybe best part of this is the Logitech Hub—this is where you can integrate all your customizations and integrations with your other Logi devices. I do not go as far as tweaking my audio settings per game but the software is good with that and I am sure is a good-to-have for a lot of gamers.
Back to dependability though, I also tried this on zoom meetings. It’s really very reliable and I asked for feedback from people I met with, and they say that it is clear, like I am beside them (not that it is noticeable but it was a solicited feedback I had to acquire). And I think this is what I mean by these headphones. The performance is consistent and these are very dependable. For whatever I use it with, I don’t want to miss that one word when someone asks me to run, or when someone mentions an important point in a meeting—because that can mean life or death on the battlefield, or being on top of my career. Either way, these headphones are reliable and I like it.

Power WHERE you need it.
on August 30, 2020
Posted by: DarR
from Los Angeles CA, USA
This is a good power back up device. Recently, our utilities company advised us of a possible outage because of the excessive heat warning. So I had this connected to my work-from-home set up.
Two 4K 27 inch monitors, a laptop, a phone charger, plus it was charging two gaming laptops. I tried taking the plug out and for 45 minutes, I had continuous power coming from the back up device. Of course the two gaming laptops were not being used but were still charging-- and my whole workstation was working like everything was plugged in. That gave me peace-of-mind knowing I won't have sudden interruptions if outages happen, especially when I am at meetings while working from home.
I also used it for one of my main outlets that get some fluctuations every so often. I discovered that the outlet was faulty. This device has an indicator for faulty wiring, so that's a great to have as well.
Also, I have this TV by the dining that we hardly use because we have to pull out a long cord just to power it up. I tried this device there too, without any other source of power but the device itself. I was able to power a 50 inch TV plus a chromecast for 2 hours.
So I guess it is not just a good back-up power contingency-- it can be a real source of power where you need it, for a good amount of time. It is reliable and I think every household should have one.
