I needed a printer that could be used with an iPad and print the occasional photo without my ink disappearing in a few months. I replaced a great HP with a newer model and learned the hard way that newer printers clean themselves constantly. So I used consumer reports to find one that did not and this one fit the bill.
Now for the details: For color on plain paper look for some other business printer, this is average at best. Photo quality is pretty good but the photo holder has to be manually set and once set it will only print on photo paper. The tray only holds 20 photos. It is pic bridge compatible and it holds all of your standard memory cards. All in all it serves my purpose.
Document print is decent, but I print all of my documents on my Brother MFC-7360N which is an amazing laser printer.
If you are constantly printing photos than this is not for you, if you print the occasional photo and need a goof Wi-Fi printer for IOS and android this can't be beat.
