The Apple USB-C-to-USB Adapter lets you connect iOS devices and many of your USB accessories to a MacBook with a USB-C port. Plug the USB-C end of the adapter into the USB-C port on your MacBook, and then connect your flash drive, camera or other standard USB device.

Buying a new MacBook Pro means that you will also be buying a handful of USB-C adapters, since that's the only port available on the machine. Apple's adapters are very pricey for what you are getting; I bought this one because it had been marked down at my local BestBuy.
Other vendors such as Monoprice have equivalent adapters at a fraction of the cost, and the ones I've purchased from them seem to be of good quality. If you are a purist or running into BestBuy right before a meeting to grab a missing adapter, grab an Apple branded product. If you can wait a few days, there are better prices to be had.
Keep your electronic devices ready for action with this Panasonic eneloop charger kit. This kit includes eight pre-charged AA batteries and four AAA batteries, which are chargeable up to 2,100 times each. Use this Panasonic eneloop charger kit, which comes with a cleverly integrated four-position voltage adapter, anywhere in the world.
I jumped on the rechargeable bandwagon years ago and use them both at home and in my office. My first purchase was a set of Eneloop batteries and a charger...those original batteries are still going strong. This particular kit is a good value in that it includes a wall charger; I have several of these chargers in strategic spots around the house, plus one in the office...you can never have too many chargers!
While I haven't kept track, my feeling is that I've saved a significant amount of money over the years with these batteries over the cost of alkaline AA and AAA cells, and I also feel like I'm reducing my consumer footprint in some small way. Keep an eye on prices as these regularly go on sale, and if you are lucky you'll find a set on a BestBuy clearance rack (as I did with this package).
The new MacBook Pro is razor-thin, featherlight, and now even faster and more powerful than before. It has the brightest, most colorful Mac notebook display. And it has the revolutionary Touch Bar—a Multi-Touch–enabled strip of glass built into the keyboard for instant access to what you want to do, when you want to do it. The new MacBook Pro is built on groundbreaking ideas. And it’s ready for yours.
I've used MacBooks for quite some time; a few MacBooks, an Air, and most recently a MacBook Pro, which I replaced with this newer model. I was pleasantly surprised at how much snappier the new MB Pro feels versus the prior model. While I was skeptical of the new touchbar, after using the machine for a month I've found that I do in fact reach for it more often than I thought I would, especially when writing documents.
Regarding the touchbar, the big win for me is the inclusion of TouchID. I really like being able to log on to the machine with just a touch, and my password manager, 1Password, also uses it for authentication.
I've built several Hackintoshes (one just a few months ago) and am a professor of computer science at a large university, so I completely understand the "Apple Tax", which is the premium that we pay for an Apple computer versus the equivalent (or better in some cases) hardware from another vendor. Apple in my mind is a premium brand, and for the extra money I expect best-in-class fit and finish, design, and functionality, and I feel that I get it with Apple products.
My biggest concern with this new design was the oversized trackpad...I was worried that typing would be an issue with the cursor jumping around due to contact with the heel of my hand. This hasn't been the case, and I am able to type at full speed with no erratic behavior from the trackpad.
Overall I feel that this is a solid machine and good value for the money. You'll need a few extra dollars in the budget for a few USB-C adapters, but I needed a handful with the old machine, too, since I regularly connect to HDMI or VGA projectors during lectures. My only real annoyance is that the power adapter no longer uses Apple's MagSafe technology.
