I use this to track my sleep more than anything. It seems to be pretty accurate for that. Of course the steps are always off on days that I drive because it registers movement as a step and any bumps I hit in the road count. Over all I am happy though.

Will a small (9" X 13") lap top fit in the laptop pocket?
Yes, my 15.6" laptop is just barely too big, so your 9" X 13" should fit just fine.
