Good with some drawbacks

It's quiet, it does a good job at drying the clothes. However, the main reason why a I selected this dryer was the supposed ability to be able to turn it on with my smartphone, which would allow me to start a load drying and have it finishing the dry cycle shortly after or before I get home from work and another load of clothes finishing up in the washing machine and ready to dry thus cutting down on wait time for multiple loads. Still have not been able to sync my smartphone with the dryer and register it with LG's website. They do not have this model on their list. Customer service is clueless about this feature. I would not buy this model with the hopes of using your smartphone to control it and the Samsung models that have this type of feature require you to have a Samsung phone. LG did not make that requirement. You also get conflicting info about a dryer rack. The instructions clearly state to remove the dryer rack before you start the initial breaking in cycle. At no place in the owner's manual does it say that the dryer rack is only included with certain models. I was able to get LG to send me a free dryer rack using that argument but it took at least 4-5 calls to customer service and speaking with supervisors and even e-mailing them proof of purchase and delivery to get the rack for free. In my opinion, they (LG) needs to lower the price by at least $350.00.

Does it need water to produce the steam?
Yes. It has a tray in the front and uses only tap water.

Does this model have a removable water container or it need to be hooked up?
Removable from the front and it requires tap water only.

How does this unit exhaust the heat
This unit does not show any exhaust hose which would go to a window to get rid of the heat, or does it not have any exhaust?
It came with an exhaust hose and window kit. We open the window and put the exhaust panel in place only while we are awake and actually in the house. It has a way to actually secure it to the window with some screws (which they also provided) but we have not followed through on that aspect - any good thief could just push it out with minimal amount of force and open the window the rest of the way and they are in.
