Great For Appropriate Use Scenarios

The Brother - DCP-L2550DW Wireless Black-and-White All-In-One Printer is a good, affordable choice for the features it offers.
The high-capacity paper tray and high-resolution Black-and-White print quality is great for reliable day-to-day use. Having a scanner for both Black-and-White and Color is a big plus, as is the wireless printing feature for desktops and mobiles.
The only caveat with this unit is to understand that, though it prints 2-sided, it does not effectively scan 2-sided. There is, technically, a workaround that requires scanning each side individually and then having it print out, but that is not practical if your needs require true 2-sided scanning.
Otherwise, this is an excellent value and highly recommended.

Solid, Full-featured Chromebook

The Acer - Spin 15 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Chromebook is a solid, affordable choice for a Chromebook. The large bright screen is great for all uses, though the 1080 screen can look a bit old when watching standard def videos and the surface picks up finger smears that show up on a black screen. For all else, however, it's a delight. The narrow bezel gives it a great look and feel.
Using it in 'tent' mode and as a tablet is enjoyable. The speakers are adequate for viewing media - and especially shine when viewing in laptop mode with the speakers directed up from the sides of the keyboard. The included webcam is also a welcome addition.
The 32 gb of storage may seem a bit small, but it includes a slot for using micro SD cards.
All-in-all, this is a solid, affordable Chromebook with a great feature-set for it's price range.

The Master & Dynamic - MW07 True Wireless In-Ear Headphones are the best wireless in-ear headphones I've used. The fit, set-up, and charging case are all excellent. The sound is impressive, with just the right balance of HiFi and Bass that remains solid at high volume. The control buttons are also the most convenient I have used.
What could make it better? For me: 1) use the more common micro USB charge connection instead of the USB-C that it employs, and 2) add noise cancelation and ambient settings.
As their first venture in this category, these excel others and will only improve as more features are added. In my opinion, the Master & Dynamic - MW07 True Wireless In-Ear Headphones are truly a premium, top-of-class product.

Great For Appropriate Use Scenarios

The Logitech CRAYON Digital Pencil iPad (6th Generation) is a worthy, less-expensive alternative to the Apple Pencil.
There are, however, a couple of details to consider before purchasing: It only works with the 6th Generation iPad introduced in early 2018 and it does not support pressure sensitivity. So, if you're an artist, you should go with the Apple Pencil.
For most uses, though, this is a completely competent alternative to the Apple Pencil. Especially for casual or occasional use. It is very responsive and does support the tilt feature. The issue of the long-term confort of the Crayon versus the Pencil is probably a matter of personal preference.
The CRAYON also has a couple of welcome design elements.
- It uses a female lightning charge connection and thus is simple to charge using the same charger as the iPad 6th Generation. This is much nicer than Apple's male connection with requires a special cable or sticking it into the lightning port of the iPad which is very unintuitive and awkward.
- The charging cap is attached to the pencil so you don't have to keep track of it as you do with the cap on the Apple Pencil.
- It doesn't roll around.
- It uses a female lightning charge connection and thus is simple to charge using the same charger as the iPad 6th Generation. This is much nicer than Apple's male connection with requires a special cable or sticking it into the lightning port of the iPad which is very unintuitive and awkward.

Very Good, But Not Sufficiently Better

The Philips Norelco - S9000 Prestige Wet/Dry Electric Shaver gives a great close shave with just one pass.
I'm a long-time user of Philips' electric shavers and find them excellent for giving me a great basic daily shave. Even the pop-up trimmers are good enough that I only have to use my beard trimmer occasionally.
The S9000 comes in a premium case, has slightly larger cutting blades, includes an led display for battery level and other information, and has 3 speeds. It comes with a trimmer head that you swap-out with the normal shaving head when you want to use it.
As nice as it is, I find myself conflicted as to whether or not I would recommend it. Is it worth the significant bump in price?
- The S9000 gives me a great close shave in under 10 seconds as opposed to under 20 seconds from my lower-priced Norelco.
- Taking off the shaving head and then putting on the trimmer head took much more time and effort than the simple pop-up trimmer on the lower-priced model. Also, I found the trimmer head on the S9000 to be less effective than the pop-up trimmer.
- The S9000 gives me a great close shave in under 10 seconds as opposed to under 20 seconds from my lower-priced Norelco.

The Little Scanner That Tried

Brother - ADS-1200 Compact Desktop Scanner is very compact and light. This gave me high hopes when first setting the unit up. It does a decent job of scanning, but it's many 'qualifications' make it more of a hassle than using scanning apps via my smartphone.
Cons:
- It doesn't come with the needed cable to hook it up to your computer and it's not a common USB cable.
- It is only rated to accept up to 20 pages, but I found that it had trouble keeping pages fed straight after about 10-12 pages.
- The de-skew feature only works on 300 dpi or less quality. It will not work with higher resolution scans.
- As a Mac user, the software is very clunky to use and the online manual was limited in clear information (mainly because it was for 3 different models).
- Although it claims to work off of a powered USB port, the documentation also says that you need to have AC power for longer pages or documents.
- The documentation also states that you should not use it to scan "Documents written in pencil / Documents that use coated paper / Photographs (photographic paper) / Documents printed on perforated paper / Documents that use loose-leaf paper or any paper with holes in it / ..." That's just a few of the 17 types of 'Unacceptable Documents' mentioned (see picture).

In fairness, I'm used to having access to a more expensive, still-fairly-mobile scanner that takes whatever fits in the machine and handles it solidly and with great quality. It may be unfair to review this unit from that perspective. However, the limitations of the ADS-1200 cause me to compare it unfavorably with the alternative of scanning documents with my smartphone. I can't help thinking that Brother can produce a truly mobile scanner that's not so limited in what or how it scans.
For now, I cannot recommend the Brother - ADS-1200 Compact Desktop Scanner. Perhaps the 1250 or 1700 are the better choice.

Welcome Small-Sized, Quality Output Printer

The HP TangoX Printer is a welcome offering for those looking for a small form-factor with quality output. It comes with a mat that doubles as a sort-of protective carrier. Also, the notifications that come via colored lights are attractive and have a ‘modern’ feel.
Initial setup couldn’t have been easier using the HPSmart app (all platforms). I was up and printing in less than 5 minutes.
However, when I moved it to my office and needed to connect it to the WiFi there, I encountered a process that was not intuitive. Expecting to use the app to reset the wifi for the unit, I discovered that there is no feature for doing that via the HPSmart app. In order to reset the wifi, you have to hold a small button below the larger power button on the back of the printer. It is not easy to see or find. Essentially, you have to go through a process similar to the initial setup. Once I understood the process, it worked fine, but it feels very unintuitive for a printer that presents itself as being built for mobility. I believe this could be addressed in future software updates and hope that HP makes it possible to do this process thru the app.
This is a handy printer and was put to good use immediately. I only gave it 4 stars because of the issue (mentioned above) relating to changing the wifi setting.

Mixed: Great at Low-Med Volume | Poor High Volume

The Ultimate Ears - MEGABOOM 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a mixed bag. Easy to set up and use. It provides exceptional sound at low to mid volume uses. I used it for background music at a recent backyard gathering and it was a real joy.
However, the bass (which sounds perfect at low to mid volume) distorts at high volume. It sounds like an old ripped subwoofer. Using the app to bring the bass down at high volume helped a little, but then the sound became thinner. On the other hand, at low to mid volume, increasing the bass worked very well.
The Ultimate Ears - MEGABOOM 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker will work fine for my needs since I'm not into high volume. However, since it fails when turned up, I can't recommend it. Especially since the marketing presents it as a high-volume party machine.

Excellent Solution for a Specific Issue

Although I just acquired mine, I've seen the benefit of these units, first hand, during annual visits to Belize over the past few years. Belize's electrical service is prone to disruption by the frequent, lightning-laced, storms they experience. These units not only protect from damaging surges, but also provide continued power that gives plenty of time to power-down critical electrical equipment.
The enhanced visual display is a helpful feature along with the basic solid build and performance of these units.

Does what it Claims and Does it Well

The is an impressive piece of tech. The setup was straight-forward and connecting the software with the scanner was a simple step-by-step process (just be sure to read the instructions on the screen).
My focus has been on scanning old photographs for a family digital archive. It is working great. Just stack the photos together by size and the Epson FF-680W runs them through quickly while doing quality scans. If you want higher resolution than 300 dpi (the default), be sure to set it before scanning.
I especially appreciate the software feature that scans the back of a photo if there's anything written on it and gives it a filename corresponding to the front. There's also a feature that allows you to automatically generate an enhanced version of the photo. For old photos, this did a very good job and saved a lot of time.
The Epson FastFoto FF-680W scanner does what it claims and does it well.

If you still have to have Internet service what do I need this thing for I already have a router
If you're satisfied with your current wifi you don't need this. If your wifi is older tech and weak in spots, this system should give you a wifi signal that is stronger and speedier.
