If you updated the WeMo mini smartplug to the latest firmware (released last week) you may have corrupted the unit. I applied the update to my two mini smartplugs and they both no longer reliably connected to my Wi-Fi network. Belkin is replacing both units. I suggest you contact Belkin WeMo tech support; they will walk you through a bunch of troubleshooting steps. If it still fails they should replace it.
