Hooked this up to an old pioneer rec in my back yard so we could wirelessly sync our phones to play music, worked great. Also works great if you want to hook directly to phone, ipod, ipad etc. Just unhook the cord from the back of the unit and plug directly into your headphone jack on your device.

Yes your phone volume will adjust the volume coming thru receiver...

Question regarding Rocketfish comapability
Is this Bluetooth Music Receiver also compatible with the Android system (Samsung Galaxy 5)?
Yes I have an S5 and it worked fine, my wife has an Iphone and worked fine with that as well.
