Fantastic Alternative to Razer Peripherals

Verified Purchase:Yes
I've been an MMO Gamer for quite some time, 2004 to be exact (the release of WoW).
Ever since, I've always used Razer peripherals (mouse, keyboard, mouse pad, headset).
As of late, their Customer Service is lacking, and so are their products.
I upgraded from the flagship Razer Naga to the Corsair Scimitar RGB. The 12-button thumb grid is nothing like Razers, so it took me about 3 days to be comfortable with it. It feels much heavier and solid in comparison to the Razer Naga. The layout is a little more user-friendly, and the RGB lighting makes it even better.
All-in-all, I'm very happy with the presentation of the mouse.
An additional note: the ADJUSTABLE thumb-grid is something that Razer should feature on their next generation of Naga - if not already. It's fantastic!
I'll be a Corsair customer for the foreseeable future, with no intentions of returning to Razer products.

I upgraded from Razer's Blackwidow Ultimate to the Corsair Strafe RGB. The mechanical keys are substantially more responsive - but that could be due to a 4-year old keyboard. The presentation is better, and it's comforting to know that Corsair uses mainstream MX switches, instead of the off-brand that Razer uses.
All-in-all, I'm very happy with the presentation of the keyboard.
An additional note: It grips a smooth, slick desktop MUCH better than the Blackwidow Ultimate ever did.
I'll be a Corsair customer for the foreseeable future, with no intentions of returning to Razer products.

Does this have a USB Port? I also see there are no macro keys, are you able to make some with the corsair software though?

It does have ONE (1) USB pass-through to the right of the cord, which I use for the wireless dongle for my headset.

Corsair's software DOES allow individual programming of keys. Whether or not it allows programming to suite your needs, I might recommend heading over to Corsair.com and downloading their software and have a gander - before purchasing.

your pics on the website show that this is the one with the YELLOW accent/bezel but the description says BLACK. Which one is it?

This is the Scimitar RGB, not the Scimitar RGB Black - differences indicated by Corsair.com.

Hello, I play Wow allot and looking for a new mouse. Can anyone tell me how hard or easy this mouse is to use and set up the buttons with the program. I had a naga , but it was too difficult, hope this will be better.

Conveniently, this will work with the in-game Naga Add-On - which I use simply for the bar customization.

The only thing I had to do was go in and individually program the 12-button thumb grid, as it's not set from the factory (to match the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,-,= key bar).

All other modifiers were set in-game.
