I bought this for my wife to use for work. Now, since she only has one monitor for 2 computers, she has plenty of room on her desk to WORK!! Great product, haven't had any problems. The LED indicator is a plus.

Will this work if I only want to share the monitor between the two computers but they will each have their own keyboard and mouse?

Yes, just hook up the monitor cables and not the USB cables for peripherals.
