Decent laptop w/ its quirks!

I've had this laptop for a little over a month and it's been a mixed bag in terms of my overall satisfaction. I was looking for a laptop that would do all the necessary tasks (online, word docs, music, etc.) and this seemed to fit the bill. I wanted something that would last without breaking the bank. The laptop itself is fast, responsive, and has most if not all of the standard bells and whistles.
My problems started about 2 weeks after my initial purchase. On several occasions I would be working online and the laptop would suddenly freeze up and reset on me. I allowed it to happen a few times thinking it was just a glitch, but after the third or fourth time, I contacted Geek Squad. I bought the Geek Squad protection which I think is a must for any purchase like this. Geek Squad was able to go in a temporarily fix the issue. A few weeks later, the problem persisted and I had to contact Geek Squad again. Again the issue was resolved but only for a short time.
By the third time it began to freeze on me, I contacted the store to see if they would replace this possible "lemon" but they said I was beyond the return timeframe. This time I brought it into the store and Geek Squad ran some updates and fixed it for the third time. Three "repairs" in a month is not my idea of a solid purchase, but as of right now everything is working well. My last gripe about the laptop is the noise, at times it gets very loud.
