If you have a Nikon FX camera, this is the only zoom lens you will ever need - unless you are willing to spend thousands of dollars to get to f/2.8. In my opinion, if you have a fairly recent version FX camera (such as a D750) with much improved low light capability, there is absolutely no need to spend the extra to get the f/2.8 zoom lenses - especially for non-pro's.
This 28-300 mm zoom lens has excellent qualities in terms of sharpness, color rendition and auto focus speed. Distortion can be obvious when you get close to the two ends of the zoom range, but it is easily corrected in post. It felt a bit heavy at the beginning for me, but I got used to it quickly. Highly recommended.

bought it after the adapter inside of my desktop pc went dead. don't remember if a driver was needed or it's a plug-and-play, but the setup was really easy and took no time. it works well for the most part. but since a few weeks in, it sometimes drops connection on my headphone and then comes back up on its own after a few moments. never does that to the speaker that is also hooked up. a bit weird. not sure if it's my headphone or the adapter itself.

Will Best Buy be offering this lens in a package deal with the D7000?
Probably not. But I don't understand why you need this lens for D7000. I owned a D7000 (and still do, after I purchased a D750), and see no reason to use this lens on a Nikon DX camera. If you want a zoom lens for your D7000, the Nikorr DX 18-200mm is the same and excellent choice.

I HAVE NETGEAR 600(N) ROUTER DO I NEED A (N) ADAPTER OR CAN I STILL USE MY (G) ADAPTER AND HAVE JUST AS GOOD SPEED?
you probably need an n adapter to keep up the speed with the new router. but, depending on what you do with your pc, you don't have to buy a new one if the current g speed is satisfactory to you.

WIreless USB adapter for HP Pavillion Desktop
I have an old HP Pavillion a1712n that I want to use. Tried connecting to Wifi Internet but won't. It tells me I have to install and configure adapter. Do I have to buy a USB Wireless Adapter in order for my desktop to pick up the signal from my home wireless internet network? If so, which one can I get?
if the old desktop didn't come with an adapter, then yes, you need a wireless adapter. there're many decent products on the market.
