Its better than "ok". I have one and I maintaing great fps in games running on high.

Can anyone help me with the setup?

I bought this headset for the ps4 and followed the instructions to set it up properly. In the settings of the ps4 I have the audio in and output set to the headset as well as in the options "devices". After configuring everything according to the instructions I am not able to hear anyone speak. I hear the background music and the commentator in Fifa for example. The thing is my friends can hear me speak so it has to be something with the settings. After giving up i connected the headset with the audio cable to the controller and only then i can hear my opponents and can be heard. At the end of the day it is acceptable but I would like to be able to use this device the way it is supposed to be used. Otherwise i might as well just use my headphones from my cell phone which would be the cheaper option and return the headset. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong ?

Disconnect everything and reconnect again according to directions. After that, got the PS4 Settings>Devices>Audio Devices and check that input and output is set to your turtle beaches. Also, check the mic level while you are in that menu.

How's the sound detection of enemies?

For example,
Footsteps in the distance , how well can you hear them, can you tell how much distance their is between you and opponents ?

Gunfire , can you differentiate between where your being fired on from ? As well as even distant gunfire/ explosions ?

I had these headphones at first... They sound decent. The best advice I can give you would be to upgrade to the 500 model Turtle Beach. The 7.1 surround sound quality is amazing. I play Rainbow Six Siege right now, I can hear where everyone is at. The positional audio in the 500 is great, especially for the price.
