Best Kindle for readers with multiple interests

I've been using kindles for many years and have tried every model out there. For my purposes, the Paperwhite is the best. I have a very wide range of interests in my reading and the ease that the Paperwhite offers in creating folders to make accessing books is truly remarkable. It is so easy to switch from alphabetizing by author, date of purchase, or title of book. My eyes give me trouble on some days so I really like how easy it is to change font size and background lighting, Since purchasing the Paperwhite, I have delegated my Fire almost exclusively to the role of playing games. Almost all of my reading is done on the Paperwhite. (this purchase was actually a second Paperwhite that I use as a secondary kindle which I keep next to my bed for easy access for nighttime reading. Even though the Paperwhite is so light, having one in each of the places where I read the most is very convenient.

How do you transfer books from old broken Kindle to new Kindle
Simply register your new Kindle to your amazon account and the books will load automatically. If you have a large number of book in the cloud, this may take some time. I have about 3000 books in my account and it took about six hours for the entire content to load

I've had my kindle now for 2-3 years. All of a sudden, I can't get books on it. The clock is working so I don't think it's the battery.
Try rebooting the kindle. To do this, press the power button on the bottom of the Kindle until the Kindle turns itself off, It will then reboot itself. This may take up to 15 minutes.

How many books or pages?
How many books does a kindle hold or how many pages of titles?
Although the number of books would naturally depend on the size of the books, I routinely keep about 100 books active. Last year, when I went on a cruise where I wouldn't have access to the internet, I downloaded 150 books without any problem

I don't pay attention too much to the ads. I only notice that they are there when I pick up my Kindle. I have never had an ad pop up while I was reading. They appear when the kindle goes into off mode (I think that's when the Kindle has been idle for 10 minutes)

Does it have ads on it?
You can choose to buy the one with no ads but, the ads only show when the Kindle is in the off position. Ads don't pop up while you're reading. As far as I'm concerned, they can show whatever they want when I'm not using the Kindle.

How do I delete books I read? How do I find a book I started reading but forgot the title?
It's easy to delete books from the KIndle. Just click on the book and select delete fom device. As for books you've started, if you haven't deleted them from your device, you can choose to display you books according to "time" .
This option will display them according to the most recent opened. You can then go to the end of the list by clicking n the pages number at the bottom of the screen and simply scroll through until you locate the book you want.

how do I load e-books from my pc?
I can get e-books from my library to my pc. how do I load them into my kindle with a usb cable(no wifi)?
Simply plug the Kindle into the computer (You might need to buy a special connection) it;s been years since I used this method but as I remember, it was fairly easy, though slow if books are long.

Does this kindle have light in order to be able to read in the dark ?
I don't see why not. I have never done this but, since you can change the back lighting, it should be sufficient for reading in the dark.

Do I have to have WiFi to read a book I have already purchased.
I have been without WiFi for 2 months camping. On my Kindle keyboard all my books are there. Is this the same on the Kindle 6?
No. Once you download your book onto the Kindle (out of the cloud) you can read it everywhere. In fact, if you put the kindle into airplane mode (no internet) the battery will last longer. Personally, I keep my Kindle in airplane mode, only allowing connections when I have purchased books or want to download books).
If you don't have internet connection at home, you can try a local library, many f them offer free internet (be careful if your purchase over the internet there as it is not secure and someone could steal your credit card info)
Also, some restaurants (notably Dennys) offers free internet though I think it's time restricted. But, if you're camping out, simply accessing their internet and downloading books already purchased should be safe enough). Personally, I keep about 100 books active on my kindle as I read different genres according to my mood.
