This very large capacity slow cooker is just what our family needed. I see that there is a programmable model as well as an internet-connected model. I see no reason to spend the extra money on these features! This model is tried and true. Works great, love the lid bracket that doubles as a cord wrap.

Does this have a stoneware insert or is it a metal?

I see that it does not have non stick coating which I like but I want a stoneware insert and your description is not clear on this point. Please clarify.
Stoneware. When we transfer the food into a serving dish, or leftover storage, we add water to the insert while it is still hot. Makes for a very easy clean up!
