Cable company's charge roughly $120/year to lease a cable box. For that price you could buy/own a TiVo Mini in a little more than 1 year. And with no annual fees on Minis, the saviings make Minis a no brainier for cable customers.

Cable Customers should consider

If you're a cable customer, this product performs better and cost less over its lifetime than leased options offered by the cable company. Very happy weigh its ease of operation and functionality. Be prepared for tricky installation, mine required a Cable Card and Tuning Adapter from Timewarner Cable. And if you plan on connecting another TV via the TiVo Mini, make sure you purchase MoCa POE filter and learn where to install. My install wouldn't work without it, and once the filter was installed everything was resolved. TiVo should I nclude this inexpensive filter with every Bolt sold and ease customers installation woes. I couldn't find them locally, delayed my troubleshooting and install over a couple of days and made me wonder if I made a bad decision. But very pleased now that everything's operational.

Will this work with TWC's CableCARD™ with Tuning Adapter?
Will this work with TWC's CableCARD™ with Tuning Adapter? Supposed to work with TiVo Series 3, HD and HD XL; TiVo Premiere and Premiere XL.
Yes, I am currently operating a TiVo Bolt with TWC using a Cable Card and Tuning Adapter. Everything's working great.
