Good cheap phone for the kids but limited cases

This is a great first phone for the kids, its simple and looks good but the selection of cases is limited. Also, be aware that there are several versions of the J3 out there and the cases are not interchangeable. We found out the hard way when we ordered cases for the J3 then returned them at an expense greater than the original purchase! The screen protector doesn't fit well with the case.

Great if you don't use a case

I keep my phone in the otterbox defender case and found that it charges the S8 very slow if any when in the case. It can't seem to connect through the case and flashes. I've tried to adjust the location of the phone on the charger with no change in the results. It took overnight to add about 10% to the battery with the case on. This explains why they were giving them away with the phone...gotta clear the inventory somehow.

Good but needs to be a little more simple

Its a nice phone but with the curved edge, finding a case that protects the phone properly was impossible. I really don't care or need the "edge" feature, its a waste when in the otterbox. Also, the otterbox does not offer a screen protector built in so you have to buy a separate protector at an additional cost. We had issues with connecting the bluetooth in the car but a one hour call to both sprint and samsung resolved it through connecting in safe mode. The samsung rep said my 2015 car might need its software updated and that I should call the dealer. I said maybe samsung should make their phones backward compatible and easier to connect so I wouldn't have to waste an hour and get the lecture.

How strong does your signal have to be And how do find out what your signal strength is
Mount it high, not through the roof but on the gable ends on roofline- lessen the chance of leaks. Theres a few websites you can enter your address into to see how far you are from the source broadcast antennas. Thats going to determine your signal strength. This has an ideal range of 60 miles but realistic, probably 40-50. The longer the cable length from the antenna to the tv, and the more times its run through splitters, the weaker the signal gets. You might need to add an amplifier to boost the signal strength.
