I like to use the "everywhere" feature of the Amazon echo when playing music (plays on all of my units) and that would cause the Bluetooth connection to be lost to my Bose speaker. The Vaux provides the sound quality I lose from disconnecting the Bose. In fact I've moved the Bose to another Echo Dot.
