This phone mount is the best one I've ever used. Its easy to setup and mount to your window. The convenience of placing the phone on the mount is also fantastic. Since I drive for Uber and Lyft, I get a lot of questions from people who see me connect it to the mount asking did you just connect that with a magnet. They are so shocked at how easy it is. Also the ability to adjust it is so much easier than my last Schoshe branded unit. Which broke at the neck and their customer service was a joke. I love my new Bracketron - Ni Universal GPS Dash Mount

How does this attach to the GPS or cell phone?
It comes with a slim metal piece with adhesive on one side, which you remove the adhesive cover and then stick to the back of your phone or a phone case. But if you use any of the Otter Box cases, then you can just as easily leave the adhesive cover on the slim metal piece and place it between the two case pieces and it will still hold very well to the mount. I have an iPhone6s that it works very well, but larger phones such as 6S Plus or 7 Plus are heavier so placing the metal magnet between the two case pieces could lessen its ability to hold on to the mount
