Can't get anything to connect

Okay. I'll start by saying I am very techy and a semi audiophile. I have followed instructions to a T, scoured Bose website tutorials, utube, etc.. The current wait for phone support is 20 minutes. I waited an hour. I bought the Soundtouch 300 today in addition to acoustimass 300 sub and two sound touch speakers for the rear. Hooked up the sounder and sub per the instructions and instant sound. I have the HDMI going from the sound bar to the ARC HDMI input on the back of my new 70" Vizio UHD 4K. I also have playstation and apple TV going to HDMI's in the back of the TV. My satellite receiver is going to the HDMI 4K. All done correctly. First off the sub will not connect per the instructions and neither will the two rear sound speakers. rested, tried again per instructions and nothing. Also the universal remote is junk. I can't get it to take codes for my Directv box or my Vizeo. I wanted to use it so I could switch sources and also control guide and volume. I should be able to program the Bose into my universal Directv remote and be able to volume that way but I have a worthless Bose remote. There are other problems I'll spare you on. Not as easy a setup as the say. Maybe if I just was running a tv and the sound bar only it would be easy but nothing else will connect and the remote won't take any codes. Before I had Infinity Interlude floor speakers and Infinity center channel speaker going thru a Denon receiver. Instead of dealing with surrounds and sub to complete my infinity/Denon system I went with this for a cleaner look and more simple. Man was that a mistake. Boxing back up and going back tomorrow.
