Always buy name brands

I purchased these ink cartridges for my Epson printer. I have seen so many people complain about poor quality prints and poor performance from their cartridges. If you always but NEW name brand cartridges, you can never go wrong. Never buy generic and never refill used cartridges. I have never had an issue with name brand Epson cartridges or the ink when I make prints. The only issue I have is with the printer. Until you replace the cartridge(s) it won't let you print at all. Maybe a good thing!

Tiny wonder

After a recent purchase of a new computer without an optical drive, I needed to find a CD/DVD peripheral drive to use with it. I looked at a lot of different choices. I decided on this LG since it was inexpensive and portable and I had heard good things about LG drives from my relatives. This drive is indeed very small but works very well. It is a little bit noisier than I am used to but that is a small price to pay for this tiny wonder. Time will tell if it will provide me with as many years of service as my other older drives. Actually, none of my other drives ever failed but were too large to use in my present situation or required expensive or hard-to-find adapter cables to be used. For the price, this LG drive is an excellent bargain and should prove to be an excellent addition to my desktop.

I purchased this printer for my 93 year-old father whose printer had stopped working. He needed a printer that had buttons on it for frequently used functions so he would not have to use a fussy touch screen for everything. He has found it to be very easy to use and is very pleased with it. The only trouble we had setting it up was that it took multiple tries to download the printer driver software from Epson but I blame that on the network at the senior facility where he lives. The print quality is very good and it is fast enough for his needs. It is a little noisy but what printer isn't? The only issue is that the black ink cartridge that came with it needs to be replaced already but that seems typical of all printer manufacturers, that is, you get only a small amount of ink to start off with. This is a very nice printer that doesn't weigh so much as to make it difficult to move with a lot of nice features for the price. I look forward to his having a good long-term experience with it

I recently purchased the Epson Workforce 3620 as a replacement for an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus that developed an "ink system failure." I had issues with that printer during the whole time I owned it and it was as cheap to buy a new printer than to replace the printhead. I had a few difficulties setting up the Epson including missing one of the pieces of tape that keep things from shifting around during shipping. I also found out that you should not hook up the printer to the computer until the computer is already booted up and to be sure to check for printer driver updates before using the printer. Set-up was accomplished with the help of an online chat with Epson that was very helpful. Once all was done, the printer has been a very good performer. It is a little noisy as noted in other reviews but it really is not so noisy as to be objectionable. It is fast and the print quality is also very good. I have the printer hard-wired through a USB connection since I do not absolutely need the wireless connection. I know that other reviewers have dissed the printer because of issues with maintaining wireless connectivity but I fault their own networks for wireless issues. Time will tell whether this will be a good purchase or not. I like this printer better than the replaced HP due to the smaller footprint despite having similar features. I got this printer on sale and so far it is a very good value and a very good choice.

It will print both sides but you will have to choose this function in the menu that comes up when you print a document. You do not have to turn the page manually. There may be a very brief delay before it prints the other side as it waits to let the ink dry on the fist side.

With this printer can you print using only black ink? We are trying to cut costs by not having to use color unless we choose to.
If you wish to print only black and white, try looking at the window that comes up when you go to print a page. Look for black and white print options or you can look for "color' options in this same window and choose "grayscale" or black and white depending on your computer but this window is from the printer driver software. Most printers use combination of inks when printing, even when printing black and white along with color on the same page. You should be able to choose only black and white however and you may also be able to choose this mode as your "default" print mode. You can save even more ink by using the "draft" mode but I find that the print is too gray and difficult to see when I have done this with Epson printers.

can I print envelop if yes how
Of course you can print envelopes. There are different sizes of envelopes and you must choose the size to print not only in the computer but also in the printer menu on the touchscreen. You will have to manually load the envelope into the paper tray (remove any other paper from the tray first!) and use the sliders in the tray to accommodate the size of the envelope. Put the envelope in the tray face down.

What is the y-fi set up charge? Wireless wy-fi?
I am not sure what you mean by set-up charge. As long as you have a home network you merely have to pair the printer with your network; there is no fee or charge to do this and you will have no ongoing fees for using your own personal home network. I personally use a direct USB connection for reliability but you should have no trouble pairing the printer with your wi-fi as long as your printer is not very far away from your router. Follow the directions from Epson precisely for the best results.

is it mac compatiable the computer is a year old, or is HP better match?
The printer will work with either Macs or PCs. You need to download the appropriate latest printer driver software from Epson when you are setting up the printer.

What ink cartridges does it use?
The Epson Workforce WF-2760 printer uses Epson 220 and 220XL cartridges. There are separate cartridges for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. The printer will give you a prompt when a cartridge slow on ink. The printer may not allow you to print when the cartridge is low but not necessarily out of ink unfortunately.

Does it have A 4x6 tray to print pictures
There is no separate tray for 4X6 pictures. You merely have to adjust the slides in the paper tray to accommodate that size paper. You will need to remove the paper tray to add the paper and make the adjustments but it is very easy to do. Be sure that you also adjust the paper size in your Page Set-up on the computer and also on the printer (in the menus on the touchscreen) for the correct paper size and type. It takes a little extra time but it will tell the printer exactly what you are trying to print.
