Glad it has an agitator

After having a Samsung without an agitator I realized I really needed one! Having said that, it doesn't compare to old school agitators but it cleans much better than the Samsung did. So far I'm happy with this purchase! I especially love the deep fill option for when I want a full tub of water.

Will the machine fill up with water while the lid is up and then stop so you can soak clothes overnight?

It won't fill while the lid is up but you can fill it and pause it to let the clothes soak. I haven't tried to do it all night so I'm not sure.

Does the agitator move the clothes sufficiently to get it clean to your satisfaction? For those who previously had a no-agitator washer, are your clothes now cleaner with the agitator? Also, was your new Maytag delivered to you in an enclosed box?

Yes my clothes are definitely cleaner! It came in a box which the delivery men took away.
