Intel Core i7 - 8GB Memory - 512GB vs Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB ?
I'd really like the 512GB SSD but worry that the i7 CPU will use up the battery faster. I also don't actually NEED the more powerful CPU. I'm replacing a 6 year old HP with a core i5 M 450 that most of the time has all the power I need. I just want a lighter device that can last a 10 hour day instead of 2.5 hours! Does anyone know if there is any noticeable difference in battery life? Also, I only use basic non-gaming things like Word, browsing with 20+ open tabs and sometimes streaming video. Obviously I like the extra storage, but would I even notice any difference from the Core i7 vs the i5??
You need the extra power of the i7! It is worth it. The battery lasts a long time compared to a laptop with a HD.
