I put this case on as soon as it arrived in the mail. It's two pieces with a clear rubber part that goes around the rim of the phone and then you put that into the gold part of the case. It comes with installation steps, which is very easy. This case made my newly slim iPhone 6 , thicker than my now old iPhone 5. This is a personal preference and if you don't care and aren't a stickler about being able to feel the slimness of your phone like me than this shouldn't bother you...So when I went to take the case off, after 5 min of trying I called Case-Mate for assistance. This really nice guy tried to help me for a while to no success and he transferred me to someone else. The lady was telling me to tightly grip the side of the phone and push the opening of the camera... Umm, why would I want to apply such forceful pressure to the lens of my $400 phone?.. Maybe she could sense my thought because she stated " these phones are way stronger than you think"... Okay, but I still don't want to test that theory.. That didn't work anyway, as my phone wasn't bulging from this case.. I told her that they have installation steps in the box, but they obviously need to add steps on taking it off. Her response was a laugh followed by " I know, but cases are meant to be on the phone.".... Okay cases might be meant to be on the phone. But it shouldn't be because I CAN'T get it off! And besides, as a company, I'm pretty sure you want people to buy more than one case. Especially a company like Case-Mate that advertise them as fancy accessories that you can switch up and use.. I literally had thought I was going to have to break the case somehow to free my phone. But in the end, she was able to help me get it off.. This particular case doesn't come with indents to help assist you to pop it off like other cases. Clearly it needs them.. I'm taking this case back tomorrow. I gave it 3 stars still because there isn't anything wrong with the case itself. Just the fact of its thickness and it being absurdly hard to take off were complete deal breakers for me personally.
