A good table with lots of potential

Out of the box, the LP 120 is easy to set up and works and sounds pretty good. But there is also a lot of potential waiting to be set free if you are so inclined.
I like to tinker and have some technical skills, and can't leave well enough alone, so I dove in and made a few changes and modifications that really enhanced the performance of the machine, however it also voided the warranty. So there's that... Here are the modifications I made -
1. Replace the felt platter mat with a rubber one. This made a HUGE difference and improvement in sound quality and doesn't void the warranty.
2. I didn't need the built-in preamp or USB stuff, so I removed it. It's actually pretty simple and there are several YouTube videos out there that show how to do it. This also made a huge difference, since even when the switch on the back says the preamp is bypassed it's really not and there is still a low-pass filter in the signal path that really veils the high frequency sound. This is an invasive procedure and definitely voids your warranty.
3. Dial up the anti-skate setting to about triple your tracking force. Well known that the anti-skate on these is weak. Makes an audible difference and doesn't void the warranty.
4. Check tracking force with a separate gauge. The setting on the counterweight is off significantly. On mine, when set at 2.0 grams, the actual force was 2.35 grams.
5. Replace the included counterweight with Audio-Techica's "heavy" counterweight. This allows the counterweight to be located closer to the tonearm pivot point, improving tracking noticeably. Doesn't void the warranty.
6. Finally, I replaced the standard AT95 elliptical stylus with a much higher quality line-contact stylus. However this cost about 3x as much as all the other changes combined. But it did make a nice improvement in sound and tracking.

Great budget-priced HDTV

For this price, this is an excellent HDTV. I plan to buy 2 more to replace older, smaller TVs. The picture quality is surprisingly good, the sound quality is OK, about the same as the built-in speakers on most other flat panel TVs. I haven't tried any of the streaming apps so can't comment on that, even with a "smart" TV I prefer the Roku interface using a separate box.

I chose the Roku 2 over the stick, 3 or 4 primarily because the 2 can be used with an infrared remote. The 3, 4, and stick all have RF-only remote capability, and I use a Harmony One universal remote to control my gear, and that is IR-only.
I primarily use the Roku to stream content from my Plex server, but also it works great to stream many channels on-demand in conjunction with my U-Verse TV service. Also have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime subscriptions, plus there are tons of free streaming choices available through Roku. You could probably find over 10,000 different things to watch at any give time.
The Roku itself was easy to set up and configure.

Great entry-level 4k TV

There's a lot to like about this TV. Picture quality is very good, especially lower-definition sources that have to be upscaled - which is almost everything, since 4k content is not widely available. I watch a lot of DVDs and they look great on this TV. My A/V receiver has built in video processing to upscale to 4k so I compared that to the scaling built into the TV, and the TV's performance was slightly better.
There are only two minor drawbacks which may or may not be important to you (they are not to me in my particular situation) - the horizontal viewing angle is relatively narrow with a lot of brightness fall-off as you move left or right of the screen. And the "Smart TV" features are great and fast but don't include a Plex client so I use a Roku 2 with my Plex server. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. work well.
For the price you get very good performance and great features.
