Good for a basic, inexpensive CD Player

I use a portable CD player to listen to Books on CD that I borrow from the library. This CD player works well for that purpose. I am able to pause, advance to the next track, or reverse to the previous track. I'm able to forward only by full tracks, no fast forward or backwards to find a place in between. And unlike more expensive players, it does not remember its place on the CD once it is turned off.

I would recommend this to a friend!

How can I stop and then return to samwe place

I have a new cd player.insignia..reading a book I stop at chapter 4 ..turn it off...when I come back it starts all over again with chapter 1
I use it to listen to Books on CD, too.
No, it does not remember where you left off, once you turn it off; it starts all over at the beginning of the disc. However, I've been able to PAUSE it for indefinite time, until I want to listen to it again. You can go forward or backward by a full track, but nothing in between. I've learned to make a note of which track I'm on before I turn it off.
