Just ok - disappointing volume

Most of my other av equipment is from Sony, and I am very happy with it, so it was natural for me to consider another Sony product. I have old infinity towers and no sub, which needed to go as we renovated our family room. We also wanted wireless rear speakers, and this was one of the only systems truly capable via 2 srszr5 rears. The system sounded good in the store too. The only thing that gave me pause was a small number of reviews saying it wasn't loud enough, but the vast majority loved the system. So I took a chance.

Well, it isn't loud enough... my old infinity towers without a subwoofer have more movie punch than this setup. When I turned the volume to max, even my wife who doesn't like loud sound said "that's it??"

Unfortunately we waited to try them due to a home renovation delay, so I'm not sure if we can still return them... and we don't hate the sound. But we just don't get the punch we expected - disappointed...
