Perfect Chromebook/Phone keyboard!!

The Logitech K580 Chrome OS Edition wireless keyboard is the perfect keyboard for your Chromebook and or phone. You have two options to connect this keyboard to your Chrome device, phone, or PC, either Bluetooth or the small unifying receiver that you need to plug into a USB type A slot. All my computers and chrome books recognized both devices right after I plugged in the receiver and the BT pairing was a breeze as well. You can BT pair up to two devices and switch between them with the two gray buttons on the keyboard. Typing on the keyboard takes a little getting used to when you are coming from a windows-based keyboard, but if you are used to the Chromebook keyboards then you will be right at home here. For example, where the windows key is usually located you have the google assistant key now and the Caps Lock button is the search button (which acts like the windows key on the PC). On the Chromebook device this works perfectly though.
The travel on the keys is very minimal and is very quiet to type on as well and it is a pleasure to use. Battery power is provided in the form of two AAA batteries and they should last a long time. There is an auto sleep feature of this keyboard that will allow that to be the case and, in my opinion, and experience with Logitech products, they do last a long time and you never have to worry about replacing batteries that often. I do enjoy the 10-key addition on the keyboard and still keep the design small for the limited amount of space that I have on my desk. I love using this keyboard and it does make typing out emails from my phone so much easier while I am at my desk. I do have a Galaxy Note 10+ with a slim case on it and it does fit. In the picture I have my Note8 with a slim case for reference.

Near perfect headset, even with eyeglasses

The Corsair Virtuoso RBG wireless headphones in white look absolutely fantastic and very high-end. I have shown them to my friends, and they are very jealous of the looks of these things and I must keep them locked away when they come over (kidding), but in all honesty they are really impressed with the looks. Just about every aspect of these headphones screams premium build quality and they feel very durable and comfortable on my head. I wear glasses and I really prefer a light headset for comfort, and this meets both of those top requirements for me. The headphones have just 11 different adjustment settings per side and I was easily able to find the perfect setting for my head. The amount of tension is just perfect as well and as I mentioned earlier, even with my glasses on I had no issues.
The icue software is a hefty download at just over 350 MB and the install requires 980 MB. This will allow you to customize the sound more and there are some presets that you can use as well. You can also adjust the lighting effects of the headphone. Color and different pluses and modes are what you can choose from. I was looking for a way to disable the microphone LED since I find it a bit distracting while playing games, but I was not able to find a way to do that. Fortunately, you can remove the microphone and that solves my problem, unless I want to voice chat which I rarely do. There is a feature to toggle between stereo sound and 7.1 surround sound, both of which sound good. If you don’t want to use the software you can just plug in the USB dongle into your PC, PS4, or Xbox and it will just work.
Overall, I am very impressed with these and they are a bit on the expensive side, but they are not the most expensive on the market and I find them to be a great value.

Near perfect Air Fryer

The Bella Series 6qt digital air fryer is an awesome air fryer and cooks the food perfectly, and if you follow the directions then everything will come out perfectly. This is the third air fryer that I have owned, and it is quickly becoming my favorite. If you have a big family, you should get a large size fryer like this one. It does take up a good amount of countertop space, but the convenience and functionality of the fryer is worth it. To me the food just tastes much better without all the oil that you usually have to cook with. The digital controls allow you to easily set the timer and temperature and includes some presets for temperatures that are very handy. Chicken wings are my favorite thing to cook in an air fryer and this one preforms very well. I like to cook them at 360 degrees for 12 minutes, then flip them and do another 12 minutes. Finally, I bump up the temperature to 380 degrees and do another 3 minutes to make them extra crispy. Clean up has been very easy and the directions say that the basket and grill can be put in the dishwasher, but I did not clean mine that way. The non-stick basket is easy to just wash off with some soap and water and I feel that it will just last longer if you hand wash them. The overall design is pleasant to look at an it fits in nicely if you have other black appliances in your house, I have all stainless steel and it still looks good. It does make quite a bit of noise when it’s running, and the outside of the unit is safe to the touch which is nice. The ease of use, features, clean up, taste of food, and healthier cooking options make this must have for any kitchen.

Great WiFi camera, some assembly required

The Defender guard 0440P WiFi Wireless network surveillance camera is a very inexpensive high-quality camera. If you are willing to do a little drilling to install this then it is a great option. Installation is not that difficult, and you are given a template to use so you can drill the holes properly. If you are not comfortable with drilling holes or you live in a place where you cannot drill into the walls, then I would suggest looking at other options out there.
Once you have it installed you just need to download the Defender Guard app. I have the Defender 2k 1TB NVR system with two other defender cameras and I was able to pair this new Guard camera with that system very easily. Also, I was already using the Defender Smart Signal app and that works just as well for all the cameras. The new guard shows up and I can see what is going on at my home. In the app you can set up motion alerts and sound alerts. You might have to play around with the sensitivity and zoning function due to the default settings were picking up car lights driving by as motion and alerting me each time, but as I said, zoning and sensitivity I was able to resolve that.
In the box you get a 16GB microSD card (sealed in the camera by two screws), a 14 foot power cable, a 25 foot power extension cable, mounting screws, and a mounting template.
Video recording is good and the night vision is above average. My other cameras do not record sound so this one is a welcome addition. It has a 123 degree field of view and the camera itself is IP67 rated against water so you can mount this exposed to the elements and not worry too much about it, however, the power supply is not so when you mount it you should drill out the center hole in the mounting template and fish the wire thru that and use an outlet that is protected. This also prevents someone from unplugging it which would defeat the purpose of your camera.
Overall, this is a great camera and inexpensive, but has many features of the more expensive units out there.

Great portable gaming keyboard

The Logitech G PRO Mechanical wired gaming GX Blue Clicky Switch Keyboard with RBG back lighting has probably the longest product name that I have ever seen, but it does preform extremely well as a gaming keyboard. If you like portable, mechanical keyboards and enjoy the satisfying sound of the keys clicking as you hit them then this is the keyboard for you. It features a thick detachable micro USB cord with a proprietary three-pronged connector tip to help lock it in place and remove for safe travel. You can also connect a regular micro USB connector as well if you happen to forget your cable. It has a compact 10 key less design that reduces the length of the keyboard by a good 6 inches from standard gaming mechanical keyboards (ex: my omen mechanical keyboard). The rubberized feet on the bottom of the keyboard keep it in place so it won’t move around on you and it also has two different angle adjustments that are rubberized on the bottom as well. I am very impressed with the feel and placement of the keys and I find it very easy to switch from my normal keyboard to this gaming keyboard. Lighting on the keys are easily programmed using the Logitech G HUB software. There are many options to suit your needs between solid colors, pulsing, breathing, etc. I personally find the rotating colors to be a distraction, so I just use a solid color that just says lit. There is an option to synchronize the lighting with different content, but I didn’t not play around with that. The software also allows you to customize the F1-F12 keys to preform different functions or create some macros to make gaming or other things in general easier.

The Chefman Toaster Oven Air Fryer (stainless steel) is a great looking addition to my kitchen countertop. It’s a combo device that can do a whole lot of different types of cooking in a single package. You can broil, bake, toast, warm, and of course air-fry. Temperature ranges from 200 degrees up to 450 degrees. The analog dials are a welcome feature for me, and they are straight forward and easy to use. I am not sure how accurate the temperature markings are since I don’t have an oven thermometer to test with. I did notice that the air-fryer feature doesn’t seem to be as robust as a stand-alone air fryer. For example, cooking fries usually takes me about 5-7 minutes, but with this, they were nowhere near done and I had to cook them for nearly 20 minutes. Cooking a frozen pizza in this was super easy and it came out perfect and making toast turned out pretty good as well. So far with my testing of cooking with the different methods, I found that it will do them all, but not as well as some stand-alone units will…. sort of a jack of all trades, but master of none type deal. I am still happy with this overall and I don’t regret having it.

Nice keyboard, mouse is too small

The Logitech MK470 slim wireless mouse and keyboard combo comes in handy if you are on the go and don’t have a lot of extra space in your backpack or travel bag. There is one small unifying receiver that you need to plug into a USB type A slot and all my computers and chrome books recognized both devices right after I plugged in the receiver. Typing on the keyboard takes a little getting used to when you are coming from a windows-based keyboard. They travel on the keys is very minimal and is very quiet to type on as well. Actually, the mouse has very quiet clicks as well and this is one of the advertised features of it, Logitech calls it “whisper-quiet” and they are telling the truth here. The travel on the mouse buttons is small as well and it also takes some getting used to. Overall the mouse is not tall enough to fit comfortably in my hands and I find that after a few minutes of constant use, I find myself having to stretch out my hand a bit from how uncomfortable the mouse is. I wish it was slightly taller and more ergonomic verses being an ambidextrous design. I was planning on using this combo to replace my awful dell set up at work, but the mouse prevents me from this. I will be using the keyboard and I do find that to be pleasing to use. Logitech advertises that the battery life is 36 months on the keyboard and 18 months for the mouse and they have a sleep feature to help reach those longevity goals. In my opinion and experience with Logitech products, they do last at least as long as advertised. The keyboard does not have any lights on it and its difficult to tell if you have CAPS lock on or Num lock on. I do enjoy the 10-key addition on the keyboard and still keep the design small for the limited amount of space that I have on my desk. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this keyboard/mouse combo and it does exactly what you need it to do.

Decent sound, little to no bass though...

The Insignia Sonic portable Bluetooth speaker is compact and easy to toss in a bag to carry around. The design is a bit boring with a black matte back and black mesh fabric type of material. I wasn’t impressed with the build quality and it appears that the fabric mesh is not put on straight, I don’t know if that is the design or not, but it does look like it is put on crooked. The speaker is water resistant and rated at IPX5, which means that it will be protected from water projected from a nozzle. In the packaging you get a small USB type A to mini cable for charging and it took me about 4 hours to fully charge mine using a 3.2Amp charger that is built into my electrical outlet (Insignia brand as well). The sound quality is decent, and it does not have very much bass to it and when you crank it up the sound does get distorted. Pairing it with my Galaxy Note10+ was easy and straight forward using Bluetooth, there is no NFC option that you see on many devices these days. The battery life so far has been good and I do feel that it will last close to the rated 40 hours they the manufacturer claims. Overall this is a decent speaker for the price and you really shouldn’t expect too much from it. If this is your first BT speaker, then you might enjoy it, but if you have some other high end (more expensive) speakers, you will be disappointed.

Great addition to my Velop WiFi Mesh system

The Linksys Max-Stream MR9000 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 5 router is a mean looking device with the 4 antenna and all black profile, although it’s not as mean looking as some of linksys’s other offerings, but I found it to be pleasing to the eye and not over the top with the amount of antenna that it has. I currently have the Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi system in my home and the draw back of that is if you need Ethernet ports for devices that either don’t have WiFi or you want the best speed, then you only have two options per node. This new MR9000 device has 5 Ethernet ports on the back and it can function as another node for your Velop system. Perfect for my entertainment system that I need to hook up my TiVo, PS4, and my older Blu-Ray player. I even have a few Ethernet ports left for future devices and I am excited about that. So far I have not noticed any lag or slow downs due to my networking system and my speed tests are running slightly above my advertised internet speed from my cable company. Transferring large files have always been fast using the WiFi mesh system and adding this to the mix did not negatively affect that at all. Signal strength is still great as well and I have no dead zones in my 2400 sq ft house and Linksys rates this alone to cover a 3000 sq ft house. I do have a large yard and I have my system set up to provide coverage out there as well and my signal just starts to drop off a bit at the very edges of my property. It works perfectly for what I want it to do and I don’t think you will have any issues with coverage or speed at all with this router. I really do like the fact that you can start off with the MR9000 and add a Velop node at a later date to provide even better coverage. Using the Linksys app to add this as another node was very simple and straight forward. The app is intuitive and well designed, and has many features. You are able to set up parental controls if you have little ones, device prioritization, and easily set up a guest WiFi that you can launch with a simple toggle or Alexa to launch it as well. There is also some useful tools such at a quick way to share your WiFi password with someone via email or text message, and if you find that you are having some interference issues with other devices, there is a channel finder that can scan your environment and utilize the best channels for your environment.

The ION Sport XL has impressed me so far with it’s features, sound, and build quality. First off this is a fairly heavy speaker at around 24 lbs, but thankfully the built in telescoping handle and wheels allow you to move it with ease, think of a suitcase. The design is very pleasing to the eye, and not over the top either. The orange accents add just the right amount of design contrast to make it stand out. Everything you need is included in the box to get started. Mine was fully charged so I didn’t even bother to plug it into power yet. (I don't recommend doing that though, just charge it first) The battery is rated at 75 hours and I do believe it will easily last that long. I spent the better part of two days blaring music in my backyard while my kids were playing and the battery indicator has barely moved. Pairing my phone (Samsung Note10+) was a breeze using the built in NFC feature that this speaker has. I literally turned it on and placed my phone over the NFC symbol on the top of the speaker and it paired. Just be sure your NFC is on using your phone. I also tested out the BT pairing with m wife’s Galaxy S9 and that was equally painless. Going back to the sound, I am very happy with the volume and clarity of the speaker. There is an extra bass button that I have used and it does improve the base response as well. When you crank it all the way up it can get a bit distorted but from what I have tested, you will hardly need to use max volume. You are also given a microphone and you can use this as a PA speaker and it has its own volume as well. It will get plenty loud and you can easily get the attention of people near you and could make singing karaoke a blast. I am a terrible singer so I didn’t force my wife and kids to listen to that. Bottom line is that the pairing was a breeze, battery life is awesome, and sound quality is really good and you absolutely can’t go wrong with this speaker. It really is the perfect speaker for large family gatherings or even to bring to a soccer practice to pump up the players.

I am not sure if there is a max number of sensors, but you can add more if you need them. I am just not sure what the number is. But if you are planning on putting them on an area with many windows, they recommend getting a glass breakage sensor and motion sensor to cover those areas.

I believe they need to be replaced with the new sensors. I saw that someone asked this very question on Facebook and simpisafe responded that the new unit only works with the new sensors.

only the tape walkman. j/k I think most devices can pair with this. You also get a 3.5mm cable and a 3.5mm jack on the headphones so yes, an old tape walkman will work.

Hi. I just bought this and the screen continually adjusts the brightness/contrast automatically. I've searched everywhere and did the fixes stated online but with no improvement. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

Hello, I bought the my xps 2 days ago. I am really concern about the cooling system because it is way too warm. Compare to my friend MacBook Air, it's Much warmer. Does anybody feel the laptop too warm? Even when It is just on charge Or in light use...
mine gets a little warm, but not too hot. I think its pretty safe and i don't fear it getting too hot that it will burn itself out. However, I haven't had mine running super intensive processes for long periods of time.

Can I add additional ssd on this laptop? Is it expandable?
its a sealed device, and there is no place to install an additional SSD, but you can get a microSD and use that for storage as well. You can probably make windows think its another HD and use it as extended storage.
