This is the first DSLR camera I have owned. I love it!
Great features, photo quality and overall performance!
The ONLY downside to this camera is that it doesn't have an articulating display. I've got big hands and I'm surprised how comfortable I can hold this camera.

BEST camera I have ever owned!

I did extensive research before choosing the P600. I'm very glad I got this camera instead of the 2 others I was considering.
It has. 1. incredible zoom power. 2. great in low light. 3. Great battery life. 4 good useful electronic viewfinder EVF. 5. Definitely the best "Bridge" camera on the market for the best price.
The ONE downside to the P600 is the burst mode. It can only take 7 or 8 shots in a single burst. Then the camera is pretty much useless for about 25 seconds or so while it writes those images to the SD card. (even with the Sandisk Extreme Pro).

What is the difference between the P600 and the P610?
I compared them side by side. The ONLY difference I saw was the P610 has GPS (for geo-tagging) I would definitely go with the P600 because of the price difference. Check this link out. http://www.imaging-resource.com/cameras/nikon/p600/vs/nikon/p610/specifications
