Why does the washer shake so violently on "med" or "high" spin cycle?
I have it only about 1/2 way full and it shakes so much that my entire upper floor vibrates loud. I'm afraid it will damage the machine and leak water upstairs.
My new LG Washer does not shake (thank goodness), so I cannot answer your question exactly, You didn't mention how long you've had it, but I would call and have it looked it right away.
Here's a little story: we owned a Whirlpool Duet set before we bought our LG set and we had the same problem with the Whirlpool washer. It began almost immediately after delivery -- called had it repaired (under warranty), got another 2 years out of it, and it happened all over again. Of course, it was no longer under warranty. According to Sears Repair Service, and it cost over $900 to repair.
The set cost about $1800 -- the Dryer ran perfectly. Ended up giving the set to a local repair man for $200. He replaced the bearings and did all the required work. His wife loved it so much, I think they kept the set.. It was in excellent condition outside of the washer problem.
So, I guess what I'm saying, and if it's still under warranty, have them replace it or check it out thoroughly!!! And don't settle for something that just isn't running perfectly.
