I bought this washer/dryer to replace a Maytag unit that died. I am pleased with the GE so far and have not had any issues yet. The washing machine has a lot of features and does a good job cleaning my clothes and sheets. The dryer works well and dries quickly. I am hoping that this unit will last for may years.

can the dryer door be either left or right
No. The dryer door is not reversible.

How much clearance MUST I have on the back of the machine? I have exactly 32 inches of depth. Would this fit? Thank you.
My unit measures 32.5 inches from the back of my alcove to the front of the washer. My water hookups are inside the wall and the vent for the dryer is in the floor.
