It provides white noise, water and nature sounds, as well as combinations of both, so you can personally select what will help you sleep best. The HoMedics Deep Sleep sound machine has a timer that shuts it off after you go to sleep.

I love this machine! It's got a great variety of sounds in four different varieties that range in tones, so there's something for everyone. It's so good at noise canceling that I have trouble hearing YouTube videos on my phone after I turn it on. I like having a remote though I haven't tested its range.
