can I recycle the puresource2 filter?
They are not normally recyclable, if they are they will have a recycle symbol on them as it applies to the US.

Frigidaire - PureSource2 not making ice
when i noticed the light of my Frigidaire - PureSource2 (p/n 241691333) turned red, i reset the button and the green light turned back on. however, it is not making ice but water is running fine. can you tell me what the issue is?
Did you double check the shutoff lever in the ice cube catch tray, i.e. is it stuck or broken, did you check the ice making button, is it set to on or off? Also double check your owner's manual they usually have trouble shooting tips in there.

why does my ice taste funny even after changing the filter and running a good amount of water thru it?
put in a new filter, dumped all old ice and ran at least 2 gallons thru new filter but ice is funky!
Personally, I would perhaps get a new filter. The one you have may have been bad for some reason. If still not OK, I would have your fridge checked, i.e. the water lines coming in as well as in your fridge, there may be something in the line.

After changing the filter, does the water suppose to look dirty at first?
I changed my filter but the drinking water came out dirty for a while. It stopped after filling a few cups.
After putting in a new filter, you are suppose to run water thru the new filter for 3 to 5 minutes, or until water is clear.

Will it fit my refrigerator?
My refrigerator uses a Kenmore 469911 Water Filtration Cartridge. Will your Frigidaire - PureSource2™ Replacement Water Filter Model: WF2CB | SKU: 4210302 fit? Is this the same filter since I understand most Kenmore refrigerators are actually Frigidaire.
It is true that Kenmore products are made by other manufacturer's and then the Kenmore name is applied. If your fridge specifically states a particular number for its' water replacement filter then that is the one I would use. Because of certain manufacturing arrangements replacement parts are not universal.
