Owned Many but this one is Superior

The quality of 360 video that this camera produces is far better than all the many other 360 cameras that I own. However they can really put a lot more work into their phone app and software. The camera gets 5 stars for quality footage. The software gets 3 stars. I meet the two in the middle at 4 stars.

Great reach:
See the photos I took and keep in mind that I was nowhere near these creatures. Getting close would cause them to run or fly away so having a super zoom is really helpful. Also works like a macro lens without having scaring off subjects by trying to get too close to them.

Up to 7fps at 16mp. I just figured out it has this. I wish I would have known when trying to capture the hummingbird photos.

I don't always shoot in burst mode but having to preview each image after shooting can cause you to lose a shot . I wish I could turn on the image preview.

Overall this is no pro camera but what it is, is a really fun camera for getting shots you would normally not be able to get. The image quality is decent as long as you do a little cleanup in an editor like Lightroom. I almost returned this camera but after having some time with it I decided to keep it. It's long zoom and decent image quality makes it unique to my small of cameras and makes it useful.

Get a little closer to your subject with this Sony 70-300mm lens. Built-in optical stabilization delivers solid results even under low-light conditions, and the dust-resistant design helps prevent speckles from forming on the sensor itself. This lens is so incredibly sharp. With this one you can close up and personal with your subjects.
One other thing that surprised me is that it can also be used as a portrait lens too. Fast focus, sharp, short minimum distance... beautiful images!

I use this lens for both a walk around lens and when I shoot video reviews in a small space. This lens is incredible. I use to carry just a 24-70mm as my walk around but lately I've been finding myself reaching for this lens more and more. If want to capture the feelings of a place wide is the way to go. Also, I shoot many of my reviews in a small room so using a narrower lens won't do. This lens really helps me capture just what I need.

Nope, just the opposite. This is a great lens! I'm making the switch from Nikon to Sony and I've been comparing this lens to my Nikon 24-70mm and I'm in love with this lens. I don't use auto focus a lot but when I do I love that I can't hear it! It's sharp, great bokeh... and yes to me the bokeh on this lens looks better than my Nikon. I can't find anything bad to say about it.

I liked the lens but found the images just a bit too soft. I'm transitioning from Nikon to Sony so I'm still getting use to the Sony A7SII and A7RII but thought this lens could have been a little sharper.
I returned it because I now have other lens's that cover the 35mm focal range and in my opinion does a better job (I bought the 24-77mm G Master Lens and I love it).

I didn't buy my A7SII and A7RII because I wanted a smaller mirrorless camera. I bought them for their awesome photo and video quality. Personally I like the look and feel of the larger DSLR camera's and adding this Vertical Grip makes me feel right at home. Still not as large as my Nikon's but close enough.

Long time Nikon user. I first bought the Sony A7SII because I wanted something that worked with video better in low light...check! Then I wanted the A7RII because it has 42mp so I now I'll have one for video and one for photos...check! Now, using both the A7SII and the A7RII I can tell you both are better than my other DSLRS for both Videos and Photos in lower light situations.
Also, I found them extremely easy to learn. I've read that others don'l like the menu on these cameras, I don't know why because I love them.
Battery life is not as good as my DSLR's because but I fixed that buy getting the Vertical Grip which holds two batteries, so no biggy. Adding the Vertical Grip makes the camera bigger which I also like.
I really didn't care if the camera was smaller because it's mirrorless. I bought it because it's photo and video quality is just pure awesome!

It's an original battery so it does what it should but I wish they could pack a little more power in them. Not overly expensive and easy to find which is why I use them. I keep about 4 extra with me at all times.
