This is my eighth Kindle. I love using it, but the screen is extremely fragile, subject to fracture at the slightest pressure. I suppose Amazon, its maker, welcomes the replacement sales. Marketing 101.

DIFFICULT TO INSERT CAN. MUST HOLD IT AT AN ANGLE. WOULD BE BETTER IF USER COULD HOLD THE CAN VERTICAL, THEN BRING THE CUTTER STRAIGHT DOWN AND PUNCTURE THE LID.

I can get e-books from my library to my pc. how do I load them into my kindle with a usb cable(no wifi)?
I buy books from Amazon. They download instantly. But you must have WI-FI.

No, ads aren't intrusive at all. Quite the opposite; I find them useful and have ordered though them.
